Be Vigilant Lest You Be Disappointed

Be Vigilant Lest You Be Disappointed

Nothing is wrong in trying to have high expectations in life. But it must not be done at the expense of others, especially vulnerable people, the normal class of people who are trying hard to make two ends meet.

Because of some people dishonest behavior, unfair things do happen at times. Maybe from your point of view, it’s not fair, but to others it is. Life is complicated, it is not straightforward and you don’t always know all the influence that work against you.

It is good to know that we can control our emotions and thoughts in order to pick ourselves up and keep going - when dealing with disappointment at any level.

    Quotable Quotes
“Disappointment to a noble soul is what cold water is to burning metal; it strengthens, tempers, intensifies, but never destroys it.” ~ Eliza Tabor

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare[a] and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 ESV

Despite Disappointments - You Still Can

Despite Disappointments - You Still Can

In this life we cannot please everybody; as much as we would like to, it is just not possible. My suggestion is this, let us do the best we can, as long as we can, to as many people as we possibly can. Don’t feel guilty when you know you have done your best in the interest of others whether it is for your family, relatives, friends or any other relationship….

My encouragement is- try not run on empty, look after your well-being. We cannot change the world, neither can we change people - no matter how hard we try. People will always be people irrespective of what category they fall. We are all humans, irrespective of race, culture, Faith, beliefs, height /statue. Each category has got similar problems.

    Helpful Notes
Holding onto expectations can cause us much harm internally.

To avoid falling into depression and improve our quality of life, we have to look for ways to let go of unreasonably high expectations.

Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
    Exodus 14:14 ESV

Don't Give Up Because Of Discouragement

Don't Give Up Because Of Discouragement

When you feel overstretch  to get things done-  take a breather, focus on what matters most.
Don't allow anxiety to take control of you, in other words don’t let unfortunate situations take control over your life, or give you sleepless nights…

When you feel overstretch  to get things done-  take a breather, focus on what matters most.

Think on what makes you happy, what makes it easier to manage or work through the process of this matter. If you have God belief like mine, your faith will encourage you to pray- so pray. I find it works for me …. then allow God to do the rest!

    Quotable Quotes:
Discouragement is a natural part of  human nature.

I want you to know that you are not alone

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

    Overcoming the pain of disappointment

    Overcoming the pain of disappointment

' Disappointment is feeling unhappy because someone or something was not as good as you hoped or expected. When we feel unhappy because our hopes and expectations are unfulfilled, we experience a feeling of sadness or disappointment'.

The world we once knew is far way different from what it is today. It is clearly not getting any easier, so as you go from day to day trying to figure out what’s next and how to deal with different disappointments that come your way! Be it known that nothing in this world give us perfect peace during our battle of discouragement and disappointments.

     For long term solution
I can’t help but emphasizing the importance of Praying always to the living God, He's our only perfect help.

Whatever you went through last year, it could be worse had it not been for God!

We are on journey through another calendar year, it is not the end of the journey just yet!! It is another chapter - I call it!

Some of us have been through so much we cannot tell it all- , only God knows how we came out and how we are still continuing on the journey.

It can only be the keeping care of God, through His Holy Spirit and the words of God that will gives us sustenance and perfect peace.

    Quote:

    The Holy Bible says:

Romans 8:28 KJV -  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

    Be bless

Discouragement is such like a disease that if one is not careful, you can go in a spiral of depression, which can cause your body to shut down.

Doubts, fears, anguish, despair and neglecting yourself can distract you from positive thinking and engaging in positive tasks.

Be determine in your actions/thinking to get out of that black hole of Discouragement.

    Quotes:
The key to overcoming discouragement is to remember God’s promises and apply them (Hebrews 11:13-15 ESV)

Perseverance and Determination for the Year ahead

Perseverance and Determination for the Year ahead

You are encouraged to persevere and to have determination to complete your assignment regardless, despite the obstacles …

    Affirmation -
This year will be a better year I will not allow distractions to deter me but I will stay focus to achieve my goals by God’s help  and my determination to succeed.

These are questions we need to answer ourselves for us to move on in in hope-
What shall we say then? Will we allow our circumstances prevail over right judgement in looking after ourselves?
Where are we now? As a People diverse in different ways. We have been through many generations of trials, we have seen and heard of so many struggles of our forefathers.
    But guess what?
The struggles are not much different from past generations…  But we are more tolerant and advanced in some ways. Where are we now- from that era how much has changed? Yes, we do still struggle with all sorts of situations.

Can we boldly say we are in a better place, position of life. What are the same? How are our experiences different from the years gone by? We have seen positive changes and some negative… let me ask this question to you and myself- Where are you/am I? As an individual, a person, maybe you’re a mother, father, sibling, relatives, or friend, whatever category - the point is, whatever is your title or role ... where are you at this point in your life?
Whatever maybe your disappointment - refer to it as setback or pause … all things work together for good even it does not look bright now.
Do not give up on your dreams and aspirations!! Never stop trying despite how gloomy it may look.

    Bible Quotes
May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, 12 Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. 13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,
    Colossians 1:11-13 (ESV)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
    Galatians 5:22-23 ESV

    Do not Give Up

    Do not Give Up

Look at where you are now, what are your thoughts? Are you thinking what could have been, or would have been?

Is it worth it to get depressed about things out of your control, or opportunities you have missed, what you have walked away from just for peace of mind- although it’s a difficult decision?

Some people give up so easily on their dreams. When things do not go as they expect or planned, their prayers go unanswered for a long time, you find people often murmur and complain. But it is in such a situation, you need a fighting spirit and firmness of purpose, this is so essential. Even in the midst of adversity, hold firmly to God’s promises. Claim blessings, with a fervent desire in the spirit; and God will come through for you.

    Quotable Quotes:
Forgiveness is key for a settled peace and lowers the blood pressure and settles the heart. I say to you- be encouraged, speak to yourself as I always say!

There is hope even in very hard times or situations.

Overcome Your Fears -Loose Yourself from Mental Slavery

Overcome Your Fears -Loose Yourself from Mental Slavery

Move from inferior mindset, let nobody tell you that you cannot achieve what you would like to do to progress in life; you have to tell yourself you can!

First, overcome your fears and emotions by replacing them with positive affirmations - I can do this, I will challenge this! It is crucial you use positive language to yourself and others.

“If you haven't confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence, you have won even before you have started.”
    Marcus Garvey

We can be torn by so many things that want to control our very existence, to enslave us, to keep us trapped from having a wonderful lifestyle.

It now becomes a battle in the mind… there’s always a battle … let me tell you- loose yourself today from mental slavery!

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things

    Gratitude For Life

    Gratitude For Life

Gratitude is the appreciation of the valuable and meaningful things in our lives

During difficult times, it’s easy to feel a bit overwhelmed or drained by life challenges. The negative feelings and thoughts can creep in, which can make it difficult to see the positives.
Despite being a simple concept, gratitude can make us happier, healthier, and more settled in ourselves.

Even in Obscurity of life there can be Sunshine through the darkness

We don’t get to choose the things that happen to us, but we can overcome by pushing through the darkness even when it seems impossible. God is abundantly able … but you and I need to push against the harsh circumstances of life!!

    Psalm 34:18 ESV says
“The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Whatever you’re struggling with, don’t allow it to take away your peace or joy… Seek for an outlet that gives you peace as you go through your pain. there’s always light at the end of the tunnel

A Little Kindness and Understanding is so Precious

A Little Kindness and Understanding is so Precious

Be kind and understanding to one another. Let us be our brother’s keeper. No man is an island.

This episode encourages patience and forbearance with one another. When people are going through hardships that can be caused by anything. Sometimes they just need a bit of sympathy and understanding of where they are at in this moment of their life. If you and I care about someone, let us be real with people Someone can look so well, my friend, and we take it for granted that they are all right.

Someone else is challenged, and may not be like yours. We should try to understand the challenges of others people are people. We are all human beings who go through different challenges at times. Some are similar. I keep saying this all the time in my episode because we need to remember. I am reinforcing my face. I am hoping through these reminders you and I will understand.

    Romans 5: 3-5
"Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

A Little Kindness and Understanding is so Precious (Part 2)

A Little Kindness and Understanding is so Precious (Part 2)

I am sure God did not design us to be against each other. He designed us to be helpers for one another

We continue from the last episode. Let us show a little kindness and understanding. We are all here despite what life throws at us. There is so much pain all around us. Recently we had changes in government and again, I say, a change in the monarchy. There may be changes in your job. There may be changes even in our very real life.

This can bring pain and duress trying to cope. And so without realizing we can pass on our frustration to others. In all of this, let us avoid making others uncomfortable. We do not need to add to anyone's pain Let us rather show a little kindness. Let us show some love as part of the human race. Try to understand one another.

Time is too short. Let us work together for the betterment of our families community in which we live. And the theories institutions we are part of. We can work collectively for good work. If we stand together, we can make it together. Let us unite. Fighting the evil that tries to provoke us at times.

Celebrate Goodness Over Grief - Live to Live for Others (Part 2)

Celebrate Goodness Over Grief - Live to Live for Others (Part 2)

Most remembered the famous words of the Queen at the beginning of Covid… she gave that speech - ‘We will meet again’.

Since her passing, thousands upon thousands of people have come from all over the UK and around the world. For the family - it can’t be easy trying to hold emotions of sorrow. The family of the queen will need continuous prayers like any other bereaved family, to help them on the journey of recovery and coming to terms with their loss.

I was amazed by the dignity, the uniformed representatives, the unison of people all over, different faith groups, and cultures who came together uniting for one cause to give farewell to the queen. I admired the decent orderly manner, the crowd behaved so well…. There was peace, people speaking to each other whom they hadn’t met or known. It had been remarkable days from my point of view - this is the history we will never experience any like this again and I’m glad to be part of it.

May the life that we live speak for us - Let us try to lead an exemplary life, despite what people may think or say. the outpouring of tributes and gratitude and thankfulness. The crowd of people of expressing kindness and showing their love for the queen defy the critics.

We should try to live an exemplary life. Yes, we may not be perfect but let our light so shine that others will see our good works that there’s still goodness in the world, and glorify God!

Live life to the fullness my friend, life is full of good opportunities, owe no man anything, but to love one another, have no quarrel with any man if possible live peaceable with all men.

Remember - You are fearfully and wonderfully made!

     Be bless

    Celebrate Goodness Over Grief

    Celebrate Goodness Over Grief

Have you noticed that no matter how much you try to put things in place, there is always something that comes to unsettle your life one way or the other? The thing is, no one is actually prepared for sudden grief - it does not come with a timetable or manual. it is unexpected. When there is sudden news, it’s like everything around us comes to a halt.

How do we handle the sudden changes that come in our lives? Do we try not to get upset, or get anxious? Try to make the necessary adjustments to deal with these sudden situations… Life is short my friend.

A typical example- is the passing of  Queen Elizabeth 11, last Thursday 8 September. This has been a source of grief across the nation, the Commonwealth, and the world.

How we grieve when we lost a loved one, it’s up to us - when a family goes through bereavement, they need all positiveness and support, it helps to ease the pain. The Royal Family feel their grief just like anyone of us - they will need our prayers.

Let us be empowered to live a good life while we are alive. Let us endeavor to be a light of goodness, showing a little kindness!

What a difference you and I can make, just to ease any heartaches, or grief over different situations. If each of us does our part this world will be a better place...

Remember - You are fearfully and wonderfully made!
    Be bless

    Loneliness can cause much pain

    Loneliness can cause much pain

“The whole world seems to be against you. It is not so at all. It's a crisis. You can get comfort going through this challenge. There is a God who hears and answers prayers. He is a way maker.”

The truth about loneliness is that it causes pain as well as mental and emotional distress. But the thing is, there are things that you can actually do to turn it around and make yourself feel better.

Let’s talk about loneliness and encourage one another to get through it with prayer and conversation. Tune in to this episode now!

    Highlights:

(00:48) A Thought of Encouragement for You

(02:30) Why do we feel lonely?

(04:55) Loneliness is being dealt with differently

(07:52) Look after yourself and find a way out of your loneliness

(08:18) Seek professionals and reach out to others if your loneliness is affecting your mental state

(09:28) Trusting God in your season of loneliness

(11:28) A Prayer for People Going through Loneliness

    Quotable Quotes:

“We owe ourselves to be honest and open to our fears.”

“Even when you don't feel, just try to rise above the pain by giving that smile. You can get lost or consumed in your pain or even get stuck. You don't have to stay there at all. Always encourage press through. You are an overcomer; loneliness can cause long-term pitfalls like bad decision-making. And you know what? It can also have an effect on your mental well being.”

“Loneliness is not a sin, or even something to be ashamed of. All humans have these emotions sometimes. But we each deal with them differently. We deal with them in different ways. Don't let it creep into your system to allow you to shy away from reaching out for some help.”

    The Silent Pain

    The Silent Pain

We do not know what others are going through, having good relationships with friends and families doesn’t mean you know all about them. We must learn to respect each other’s decision, whatever it maybe. We can do our best to be there for them when the need arises; to let them know - “I am here when you are ready”.

Being there to support, doesn’t mean we must be physically present (as much as it would be a positive thing) face to face contact can be powerful. We can take advantage of technology if needs be; we can text, voice note or a simple call to see how someone is doing…Let people in your relationship know that you care about them. So often, people suffer in silence, it is during these times when painful things are happening to them and around them, they need someone. When someone becomes too quiet in your relationship seek to understand why, try not to pry, but rather give support the best way you can.

Sometimes the wound is so deep you cannot tell it all, but you don’t have to suffer in silence. It is not too late to get help, there are professionals or Practitioners in Counselling, Mediators, you can even get a trusted friend that will listen.
