This Day in History: July 29 - The Lord of the Rings, Jack Paar, Lou Brock, and Tina Turner"

On this day in history, July 29, we commemorate significant events that have left a lasting impact. In 1954, JRR Tolkien's masterpiece "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" was published, setting the stage for an epic fantasy saga. Meanwhile, in 1957, the legendary "Tonight Show" hosted by Jack Paar made its debut on NBC, captivating audiences for years to come. Fast forward to 1974, and Cardinals icon Lou Brock stole his 700th base, marking a historic moment in baseball history. Finally, in 1985, Tina Turner filmed the iconic music video for "One of the Living," immortalized on the "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" soundtrack. Let's take a journey back in time and relive these remarkable milestones!

    Folge 24: TWENTY-FOUR EYES (1954)

    Folge 24: TWENTY-FOUR EYES (1954)

Folge 23: THE GARDEN OF WOMEN (1954)

Folge 23: THE GARDEN OF WOMEN (1954)

    2. Golpe a Golpe: El Camino Del Rey

Let's Talk about (openSUSE Leap) Kernels (osc18)
With openSUSE Leap, we've tried a new management model based on SLE. The same is true for the kernel, one of the most "core" packages in the whole distribution. However, in the case of kernels, a story is a bit different from others. In this talk, we'll take a look back at the history of openSUSE Leap kernel developments and maintenance from Leap 42.1 to 42.3, covering briefly about the concept of openSUSE Leap kernels, how they are packaged, and how they are maintained. This will show us a light and a shadow in the paths we've gone through, as well as the open question to a future development of Leap 15 series.
