    Ep. #314 - Gemini Man

Before we start -- today, Saturday, June 6, at 6 pm Pacific / 9 pm Eastern, is our video livestream on our YouTube page, with presentations, a discussion of Howard the Duck, and some audience interaction. We’ll be encouraging viewers to donate to charity for Black Lives Matter, bail funds, and hunger relief, and those who donate $20 or more will be entered to win some Flop House prizes!

But you came here for a podcast! Our guest for this episode is the terrific Jordan Kauwling, Maximum Fun producer, the woman who has made our recent shows sound better than they ever have, and a sheer delightful delight. We talk about the Ang Lee-directed Will Smith would-be blockbuster, Gemini Man.

    Episode 023 - Gemini Man

    Episode 023 - Gemini Man

There's a ghost in the machine!!!  At some point in the episode, Luke gets transported to a lonely gas station bathroom for about a minute, so we apologize for the sound quality.  But on his fantastic adventure, we discover that 2 bad Will Smith jokes don't make a good one.  In this, the 23rd episode of our podcast, the boys tackle a movie over 20 years in the making.  See if the 90s can still make a good movie in the 20-teens!  Want to see if 20+ year old high school students are still relevant?  We got that.  Want to see if a 51 year old man can do a push up resulting in a 3 foot jump?  We got that.  Want to hear a small dog tossing a day around in the background?  Oh you bet your butt, we got that too.  It's Dadgum and Reekus unleashed!!!  The girls couldn't make this episode...

    Hulk

    Hulk
First Blade, then X-Men, then Spider-Man...Marvel's summer blockbuster films were just getting bigger and bigger, so expectations were high when Hulk smashed out of the small screen and into a big screen feature film. Directed by Ang Lee, coming right off his acclaim for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, this was a Hulk that stayed more true to the comic book incarnation of the green giant, but also dared to be a psychological drama as well. Is this a strong film worthy of its hero, or a puny attempt to cash in on a Marvel character? Listen to Jakob, Stuart, and Arnie to find out!
