I. Why does Jesus repeat himself? II. What does he repeat? The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day. III. How should we respond?
Have you ever been violated, betrayed, lied to, stolen from, or scammed? If so, you'll most likely experience various emotions ranging from anger, shame, powerlessness, fear, distrust, etc. On this week's show, Del and Barry share their experiences of having been violated and how they recovered from the emotional aftermath. It's important to not blame ourselves. Instead, honor all the feelings that arise and not judge yourself for them. The more we allow our emotions to flow, the quicker they pass, so we can regain a sense of power and control over our lives.

In this Bible Story, we peer into the dreams of Solomon where God asks him to request anything and it would be given. Solomon asked for wisdom and a kind heart to lead his people. God grants this to Solomon, and gives him more than he could have ever asked for. This story is inspired by 1 Kings 3-4 & 2 Chronicles 1. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.
Today's Bible verse is 1 Kings 4:29 from the King James Version.
Episode 114: Solomon, having big plans for the peace of his country and the temple of his Lord, married Pharaoh's daughter as a sign of political union. After worshiping God at Gibeon, Solomon returned home where he encountered the voice of God in a dream. In this encounter, God grants his request for wisdom to govern the people well. The very next day, he would have an opportunity to experience the wisdom that God said He would give him.

Handicapable Black Woman Episode 62 The Now Mrs. Lockaby Does Not Know the Truth Part 1
I talk about the start of the final end of Mr. Lockakey. I have so many stories to share but I need you know why I am so happy about him marrying Mrs. Jennifer Lockakey. She called me the n-word, threatened me and accused me of being the bad person because of his lies after he cheated on me more than once and put me in situations that could have messed up my entire life. I loaned him money to get a new job after he lost two, but this episode explains why he lost those jobs and the awful situation he put me in and how I knew I could not be desperate to be with a person who is only a man because he has balls. That should not be the definition of a man because it is too easy with what I see these days. You will see how he blackmailed me again and how he and then she tricked me to make me realize that they were meant to be together and why they met in the 8th grade... They have a child and if the next generation is going to be as awful as the two of them... we are doomed.
What odd situation has an ex put you through? What and how did you deal when you were cheated on or how did you admit that you cheated?

In this Bible Story, the remnant of Judah struggles to regain stability. Some leaders desired to serve Babylon and make peace. Others desire to rebel. As a result, brother turns against brother. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.
Today's Bible verse is Jeremiah 44:28 from the King James Version.
Episode 160: Judah had been captured, Jerusalem ruined, and Gedaliah son of Ahikam had been appointed as governor over the land. Gedaliah wanted peace for the people and constantly negotiated for their welfare peacefully submitting to Babylon. However, as he was traveling among the towns of Judah, he was murdered by one of his friends, Ishmael. This led to more and more chaos as Johanan killed Ishmael in revenge and the remnant of Judah was faced with a choice, flee to Egypt or stay and submit to Babylon.

Slam the Gavel welcomes back Laurie Smith, LMSW to the podcast. Laurie was last one Season 3, Episode 170 and Season 4, Episode 37. W discussed issues that when a person does the right thing it may have a negative affect in their life and the solutions on how to survive it.
There are challenges in life. Can bad things happen to us in the world when we are helping others and doing good? Why is LIFE is NOT FAIR. We discussed the correlation between doing the right thing for the GOOD of others and end up being crucified and that there is a RESURRECTION in the end. Perhaps we have been betrayed by either family or friends but we as people have to do what we think is right for us and do what is right for us.
When all Hell is breaking loose, we have to weigh the costs and the benefits. Again, what is best for us. Whatever the stressful situation is, it does not define our worth. Laurie recommends finding like-minded individuals who are able to support someone that is going through the same thing. Family or friends may not understand the situation you are going through.
The outside world is ALWAYS CHANGING. Emotional safety internally is VERY important whether the outside world is CHANGING. Laurie gave a really important coping skill on how to breathe to help reduce anxiety.
Not a podcast to be missed with so much information on coping.
