Many people find elements of shame and self-loathing when faced with having to ask for assistance. This week, as COVID-19 turns American society into a mosaic of anxiety, I speak with Amina Bey, executive director of Newark Emergency Services for Families. We discuss the vulnerability involved in accepting help but also the strength in knowing how to ask for it. In addition, we explore how to listen to people seeking assistance and also graceful ways to let people know when you are unable to assist them. 

Fuzz and Jazz B talk with Corey Bey about overall health and wellness. Corey is a holistic lifestyle coach, personal trainer, and yoga instructor in Wilmington NC.

Join Tom and Dan as they compare From Russia With Love to real world events and its relationship to other spy movies!  This is Part 2 or a 2 Part show on From Russia With Love.

When Ian Fleming wrote From Russia With Love, the Soviet Union had not yet launched Sputnik, the first satellite ever put into space.

But by October 4th, 1957, Sputnik was successfully launched which began the official space race between the then Soviet Union and the United States – so the subject matter of the film was very much on everyone’s mind worldwide – what will happen in space, and what will tensions between the US and the Soviet Union bring to the world. Another great choice by EON Productions to produce this film in 1963.

From Russia with Love is the second EON Productions entry into the film series and it is an outstanding film. Many choose From Russia With Love as one of their favorite James Bond movies.  And we have to agree – this is definitely is one of our top 5 Bond films ever made by EON Productions because of the screenplay, the cast, and just how well the story unfolds before our eyes. This is top-notch Bond!   James Bond.

BeyHive don't come for me.

Listen to the episode and decide for yourself if I am truly a Beyoncé hater or if I make valid points as to why she is not my favorite artist of all time.

I like many of her songs and her acting, I've seen her live and would see her again once she decides to play a show in SoCal....but many members of the BeyHive would put me in the "hater" category simply becuase of a few of my views on Beyoncé.

A high priest is sent to america to kill those who defiled the tomb of Princess Anaka. It's a killer mummy loose in Mapleton on this week's episode of "Monster Attack!"

In this BONUS Crushing Segment, the ladies of The LoveChat Podcast are all crushing on  HΘMΣCΘMING: "A Film by Beyoncé" that premiered on Netflix, which focuses on Beyoncé’s 2018 critically acclaimed Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (“Beychella”) performance. The ladies had to “pause for the cause” and interrupt the regularly scheduled programming to discuss their reactions to one of the most definitive and EPIC pop culture events of the century.

So this week we called an audible. We had plans to drop our Hip Hop episode but during our discussion, we got into a slight debate over whether or not Black Men need a male Beyoncé.  

For everything Beyoncé represents and means for women and specifically Black Women, Jeremy believes it would be dope to have a male version who would uplift Black Men in a similar way that she does for Black Women.  Currently, Jeremy believes that there is a void when it comes to mainstream male artists who make music specifically for the uplift of Black Men and believes we need more mainstream artists to break down patriarchy in a dope way.

On the other hand, Kyr doesn't believe having a Male Beyonce is necessary because there are certain artists who talk about similar issues, a la, Beyoncé's husband aka Jay-Z.  

So what do you think? Do we need a Male Beyoncé?
