5 songs for self care
After a conversation with Producer Chris, Elizabeth felt compelled to create a list of five songs that she finds effective for self care. Maybe not the self care that involves bubble baths and ambient lo-fi beats, but more of the on-the-fly-I’ve-got-to-move-these-emotions-along kind of vibe. There’s also a playlist that includes the songs in this episode plus a few more for kicks – I mean, what’s a 5 song playlist even good for?

...about Vanilla Sky (2001) with AJ Gonzalez
AJ Gonzalez of The Director’s Wall podcast is the guest co-host for a conversation about Vanilla Sky, Abre Los Ojo, Cameron Crowe, Tom Cruise, millenial mindfuck cinema & The Who’s unfinished sci-fi rock opera “Lifehouse”.
Written & Directed by Cameron Crowe based upon the Spanish film “Abre Los Ojos”. Starring Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Jason Lee, Kurt Russell, Noah Taylor, Tilda Swinton & Timothy Spall
How is the world wrong about this movie?
From Andras: Nobody ever talks about the profound influence of Pete Townshend on the films of Cameron Crowe. Never more evident than in his “cover” of “Abre Los Ojos” from director Alejandro Amenábar. I’ve embedded my sync film “The Lifehouse Matrix”, which marries The Who’s “Lifehouse” with The Wachowski’s millenial classic.
