    How Robby Massar Went From Playing College Baseball to Starting a Law Firm

    Robby Massar is a lawyer who specializes in business law. He attended the University of Richmond in Virginia where he got his undergraduate and played division 1 baseball. Robby would go on to become an MLB scout, and then a semi-pro General Manager before starting his own law firm. 

    In this episode, the boys dive into Robby's background from growing up in Santa Barbara and attending high school with Will. They share some stories of growing up together and playing sports. Robby then talks about his background as a scout for the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs. He shares how the lifestyle of being a traveling scout took its toll on him, and that prompted Robby to change careers. Robby explains how his background in both law and baseball helps him coach clients as they venture into entrepreneurship.     Walter Beede knows what it takes to get youth baseball players prepared to play high school and college baseball.  

    Coach Beede is known as "The Youth Baseball Guy" received a scholarship from Arizona State University and was selected in the 13th round draft pick in 1981 by the Chicago Cubs, His Coaching background is lengthy and extensive. He has been a head coach at the High School, American Legion, National Travel baseball and NCAA-College level, He has also worked as a Task force member for the prestigious Team USA program in Cary NC. The parent of two sons that competed and graduated at the college level, Walter has been through the recruiting process with both of his sons Kyle and Tyler. Kyle played for LSU Eunice and Alexandria, and Tyler played for The National Champion Vanderbilt Commodores. Tyler also holds the distinction of being the only New England player in the 53-year history of the MLB Draft to be a TWO TIME FIRST ROUND DRAFT Selection.

    Training the College Athlete with TCU's Zach Dechant

    Today we’re sitting down with TCU's (Texas Christian University) Zach Dechant and discussing some of the challenges that athletes and coaches face day-in and day-out during the college baseball season, as well as what’s to be expected from the young athletes entering a Division 1 Program.

    Zach has been at TCU since 2008 and is currently the Assistant Athletic Director of Human Performance and oversees baseball player development. He also handles the development and implementation of the TCU Sports Performance Internship Program that has been in place for over 15 years.

    During the baseball off-seasons, he also trains many young athletes as well as MLB / MiLB players in his private practice.  He’s the author of the book, “Movement over Maxes”  and most importantly also recently a new dad.
