    Could we see the end of noncompete clauses?

    There is a chance that the United States could soon see the end of something that can hold back workers that switch jobs. The Federal Trade Commission is hearing public comments about the future of "noncompete clauses," which can restrict people from joining competing companies or starting their own businesses if they leave their current job. The FTC will listen to public comments until Wednesday on its website. Andy Trusevich, a labor and employment attorney, and an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, joined Ask the Expert on Monday to explain the hearing.

    Every year, parents will wait for just the right time to start their back-to-school shopping until this very weekend. And every year, the state of Texas has one weekend set aside for Texans to shop for back-to-school needs and not worry about paying the state sales tax.

    That starts on Thursday at midnight and runs through Sunday night at midnight. You can save a lot of money on individual items for back-to-school with the Sales Tax-Free Weekend. But, the list can be confusing for some.
