Could we see the end of noncompete clauses?
There is a chance that the United States could soon see the end of something that can hold back workers that switch jobs. The Federal Trade Commission is hearing public comments about the future of "noncompete clauses," which can restrict people from joining competing companies or starting their own businesses if they leave their current job. The FTC will listen to public comments until Wednesday on its website. Andy Trusevich, a labor and employment attorney, and an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, joined Ask the Expert on Monday to explain the hearing.
