Ep. 67: End Of The Year Reminders

Ep. 67: End Of The Year Reminders

Welcome (back) to Triumph After Trauma!

If you're new here, I'm so glad you found my podcast and are here friends!

As we enter the last few weeks of 2023, I wanted us to have a conversation where I take some time to remind you all of a few important reminders as we get into the height of the holiday season, and (somehow, already) the end of this year.

Whether part of your year was hard or the whole year was tough for you to get through, you deserve to give yourself more grace than you may be giving yourself. You also deserve to celebrate yourself, for getting through the days you thought you wouldn't and the things that did go right/well.

I also share a couple of reminders and tips for those of you who may struggle with holidays, or who are for the first time seeing a change in how their holiday season will look for hard reasons.

Whatever you have had to overcome or are working through this year, know I'm proud of you for not giving up on yourself even when you wanted to and showing up daily the best you could no matter how messy surviving your days were!

If this resonates with or hits home for you, DM me on Instagram (@thisiskaitey is my handle) so we can connect more! If you know someone who should or needs to hear this, share the episode on social media and tag me so I can thank you for spreading the word about Triumph After Trauma!

I'm so glad we're connected and have spent another year growing, learning, and healing together <3

we answer a question for Would you ever go through your partner's phone? We're breaking down the pros, cons, and all the messy stuff in between. Get ready for some real talk!

As we wrap up this season, we gotta shout out to all you amazing folks for the constant support. Wishing you the happiest of holiday seasons and an epic new year! We're signing off with laughter, thoughts, and a promise – we'll be back with even  better chats in the new year. We made it! The end of the year is here and we thought it pertinent to reminisce on the good and bad. Think of it like an award show where no one receives a prize and there are leftists in the audience crying about paper straws and what not. Nonetheless, enjoy the favorites, blunders, and other meanderings of the year as we step into 2023!

What an Unproductive Year! Or Was It?

What an Unproductive Year! Or Was It?

After a loooong break, I have decided it was time to get back to it to prove to myself and to you that I hadn't given up on the Podcast.  Where the heck has this year gone anyways?  Between wasting time playing with AI and learning relief printmaking, I have done  only some of the things I wanted to get done and achieved only about 10% of the goals I had set for myself... I did however, have an art show at the local library, currently have a piece in the Gibsons Public Art Gallery, made my website, got better at a bunch of things and grew as a person ( unfortunately it was more of a waistline type of growth).  I can either wallow in self-pity (already doing that daily) OR I can do what I do best and cram some good progress into these last few days of the year.  With that sentiment, I'm here to share with you a quick way to make this year feel more productive at the very last minute.  What do you say we make this one count?  Join me for 15ish minutes to feel better about 2022; the year the plague didn't end.

    P.S:
I made AI cover art for this week, because why not.  While I didn't use any artists' names in my prompt and I make no money from this podcast, I sincerely hope the AI didn't rip anyone off any more than we artists  normally "steal" from each other by the way of inspiration.  There is another episode coming soon on that.
