Ep 74: Entrepreneurial Operating System- Lessons from an Exited Founder-Turned-EOS Implementer with Rob Liddiard

In this episode, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Rob Liddiard, a professional Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) implementer, to reflect on an insightful morning where he introduced the EOS principles to my team at Amber Home Improvements.

Before becoming an EOS implementer, Rob was the founder and CEO of Yapster, a workplace messenger app for frontline organisations. Rob self-implemented EOS in his startup and the impact on his business was profound. Since exiting Yapster, Rob has been focusing on helping others implement EOS in their business.

During the episode, Rob and I work our way through the different components of EOS, getting my initial takes, while Rob enriches the discussion with his deeper understanding and personal experience with EOS.

We hope you enjoy the conversation as much as we did recording it.

207: The Top 12 | What is EOS and How Does it Lead to Operational Excellence? Lynda Martin Explains

207: The Top 12 | What is EOS and How Does it Lead to Operational Excellence? Lynda Martin Explains

Lynda Martin is on a mission to “…repair the world, one small business at a time.” One way she does that is through the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). When originally interviewed, Lynda’s enthusiasm for this transformative framework was apparent and its likely the reason her episode landed on our list of the Top 12 most downloaded to date.

Her entrepreneurial journey began in her childhood. She grew up in a family of entrepreneurs, so it was only natural she’d become one herself. But when she started her first venture, her co-founders didn’t think women belonged in leadership. She left, started a consulting firm called Goodwin Growth Works, and never looked back.

In this episode, Lynda describes what EOS is and shares a case study of a company that applied it and grew sales by 32% each year for two years in a row. Discover the EOS formula for setting your vision and gaining traction towards effective leadership, sustainable growth, and operational excellence!

Flipping America 491, EOS Deep Dive

We all have our various procedures we follow with our properties, which together are referred to as our system. But did you know there is a larger system that can be used not just with your properties, but with your entire business? That’s what we are talking about today on Flipping America.

The Entrepreneurial Operating System is a set of common-sense, field-tested, proven principles that govern the planning and implementation of a business. It makes things run more smoothly, the company grows, profits go up, and life is good. Very few people have a natural ability to manage a company this well instinctively and when they do, guess what? They are instinctively using the principles codified in the EOS. This system is not just the latest business fad theory. It’s a practical approach gleaned from observations over many years of some of the most successful and effective businesses on earth.

Brian Sulka is a Professional EOS Consultant. He recently did a webinar for the Flipping America REIA that we called a Deep Dive into EOS. I’m going to play some of that webinar for you today. If you want the entire presentation, go to flippingamericareia.com for more details.
