I love writing poetry is the first art form that I felt I was decently good at now not all of my poems are about thongs, love, sex, and trips with your passport to destinations that no one even knows exists. In this episode, Amanda tells the folktale of Tannhauser, a 13th century knight and writer of erotic poetry. (This episode is steamy!). Though the story takes place in Germany, it was a variation of a tale common throughout Europe over a thousand year period while European culture was transitioning from animist paganism to Christianity. It tells the story of a mortal man seduced by an otherworldly woman, such as a fairy queen or goddess, who lures him to her Underworld paradise. This story asks us: where does abundance actually come from? Does it come from the land, physical pleasure, healthy food, enjoying loved ones, and contributing to our community in some way? Or does abundance come from working hard, getting a well paying job, saving money, and playing by "the rules"? When Spirit presents us with its gifts, what should we do with them? How can we cherish the abundance available to us and help it grow? Tune in to find out!

In this episode, we explore the archetype of Persephone (née Kore, or maiden), who transforms from ingenue to Queen of the Underworld. There are layers to this story: onion skins of complexity and different takes, depending on the teller. Persephone is also an asteroid you can find in your natal chart, perhaps pointing to a place of vulnerability and curiosity for what lies beyond.

At the end of this episode, we answer an audience question on how our personal Pluto placements interact with the US Pluto placement, as America enters its Pluto return. Our thoughts on this question  lead into a conversation about race and racism.
