    Magnanimous

    Magnanimous
Do you get irritated? Pissed off? Maybe even downright angry at other people? What does it take to get you to that point? Some people get pretty cheesed at what others would call a minor infraction but still other people don't seem to ever get agitated at all. If you'd like to join the ranks of the mellow fellowship, listen to today's podcast about being more magnanimous.

God is Gracious, Merciful, and Loving

God is Gracious, Merciful, and Loving

    Today’s Promise: Psalm 145:8

Here are four character qualities of God listed in this promise.

    1. God is gracious. God’s grace is His love in action. Grace is getting what you don’t deserve.

    2. God is merciful. Mercy is not getting what you do deserve.

    3. God is slow to anger. God always gives room for repentance. At times, His anger is poured out in righteous judgment, but only as a last resort.

    4. God is great in lovingkindness. Lovingkindness is commitment love. It is God’s lovingkindness that releases His grace and mercy into your life.

#195 What Are You Sorry For?

'I'm sorry' is probably one of the most used phrases by women in our society.  We have been conditioned to use this phrase not just when we have done something hurtful or wrong, but very often even when we are taking up space as a human.  Today we're going to take a closer look at why it's important to stop apologizing for being a breathing human and how to acknowledge our space in the world with more gratitude and grace.

The Full Capacity Man, The Hospitable Man EP 484

The Full Capacity Man, The Hospitable Man EP 484
In this Equipping in Ten Episode Jim challenges our way of thinking when we seek to understand what it means to be a hospitable man. Can you say that you are that man?  For the overseer must be…hospitable. —Titus 1:7-8 (1 Timothy 3:2) “If a man be gracious and courteous to strangers, it shows he is a citizen of the world.”                      — Francis Bacon (1561-1626) Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. —Hebrews 13:2 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. —Romans 12:13 (NIV)   “When you open your home to strangers, you are opening your home to the Lord Jesus.” —Ray Pritchard Man of Honor  Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaint.  —1 Peter 4:8-9  of Tell Them, What Great Fathers Tell Their Sons and Daughters
