The Watson Twins have released multiple records, including their latest 'Holler' produced by Butch Walker, as well as being featured on Jenny Lewis' Rabbit Fur Coat and recording/touring with the likes of Kings of Leon, Foster the People, The Shins, Harry Connick Jr, Willie Nelson, and Jenny Lewis. We go deep on sustainable and enduring touring practices and logistics that they've both observed as sidewomen, and developed themselves as bandleaders, as well collaboration vs individualization and using your talents and skillsets developed in the music industry to launch other businesses (they own and run three event spaces in Nashville).

During the final Video Armageddon scene, the last game used was "Super Mario Bros. 3." It was meant to be revealed in the movie before it was released on the NES. The first time we got to see the game was when the film was first released in theaters

The translations of some of this film's foreign language titles include Joy Stick Heroes (Germany), Sweet Road (Japan), The Wizard of Videogames (Italy and Brazil), Videokid (France), The Little Wizard (Spain), Gameboy (Sweden), Game Over (Finland), and The Child Genius (Canada; French language).

The truck that Spanky Frank McRae borrows from "Old Pete" in the movie is the same truck driven by Sylvester Stallone's Lincoln Hawk character for most of the movie Over the Top (1987). You can even see "Hawk Hauling" on the door as Spanky climbs of the cab during the rescue of Jimmy from Runaway recovery expert Putnam.

A young Tobey Maguire can be seen as one of Lucas' friends in the scene just after the three finalists for Video Armageddon are announced. He is on the far left with the mullet hair cut.

The sounds made by Lucas' Power Glove as he punches its keys are the five classic tones from Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

From Andras Jones: As was revealed in this conversation, this film isn’t for me. I hadn’t even heard of it until Jazmyne Moreno recommended it for the podcast. Then, when we were talking about it, I realized I knew the director from when she was the script supervisor on “Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master”. Small world.

These kids are your parents now.

His 4th album ‘Aloha Spirit’ was a Na Hoku Hanohano Award Nominee (essentially the Grammy’s of Hawaii) for best contemporary album of the year in 2018.

Tavana has been the supporting act for Alabama Shakes, Shakey Graves, Xavier Rudd, Jenny Lewis, Julian Marley, and Kaleo to name just a few, and in 2009, Eddie Vedder invited Tavana to sing ‘Hawaii 78’-a Hawaii anthem of sorts-with him at the Hawaii Theatre.
