Former MMA competitor Emily Fisher is married to retired UFC fighter Spencer Fisher. When lesions were discovered on her husband's brain the couple braced for a new challenge, combating traumatic brain injury.

Former mixed martial arts competitor Emily Fisher found her way into the octagon, in part, because of her husband Spencer Fisher, a popular UFC fighter. After his crushing defeat to Hermes Franca, in 2007, Spencer changed in ways Emily couldn't understand. Five years later an abnormal brain scan showed lesions on Spencer's brain, bringing his career in the UFC to an abrupt end. Emily Fisher shares her story of faith, love and the new fight the couple shares following the impact of brain injury.

Spencer ‘The King’ Fisher paid a heavy price as a MMA fighter. He fought in the UFC, but now faces a new battle as he wrestles with the consequences of brain injury.

Spencer ‘The King’ Fisher paid a heavy price as a MMA fighter. He fought in the UFC, but now faces a new battle as he wrestles with the consequences of brain injury.

After a scan revealed lesions on the brain, the UFC career of Spencer Fisher would soon come to an end. But the instincts of the popular MMA fighter, once called 'The King' weren't to seek treatment, but to find a doctor who'd clear him to fight again. Spencer Fisher shares his story of denial, his loss of identity as a fighter, and his daily fight for resilience in the face of brain injury.

Friar Rod and Rabbi Dave are deeply concerned that the true reason for the season has been... well... lost. They are also worried about the lack of Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes in the Central Valley of California. The World Cup is over for the United States, but NOT for the nation of Croatia. The locals in Qatar don't really like Croatia's biggest star, or the football team either. The Mayan's might be bringing back human sacrifice, especially for women who twerk on top of their temples, while the Liver King turns out to be... well... a complete and total fake. Who didn't see that coming?

    146: "Little Big Guy"

What movie could this episode possibly be ripping off? What are the odds that Stefan is packing heat? And why don’t we care that we’re off the rails? ‘Cause we’re havin’ fun. Loosen up. It’s Season 7, Episode 1 of Family Matters.

Alex Diamond, David Kenny, and John McDaniel heard that the long-running network sitcom Family Matters ends with side character Steve Urkel going to space. And the best way to figure out how that happened - obviously - is to watch the last episode first and make our way backwards through nearly ten years of television.

The Norwegian Lundehund is a hunting dog. This dog has a collection of characteristics that makes him unique. He has at least six toes on each paw, to make it easier to hold onto slippery rocks. He can close off his ear canal to protect his inner ear from dirt and moisture. His neck is jointed so he can bend his head backwards and touch his forehead to his back. And his shoulders are jointed in such a way he can splay his legs straight out to the sides. All these traits make him a terrific hunter on cliffs, slippery rocks and in difficult passageways.

Jacks Message on twitter: "Hey just listened to your 9/11 episode and it was a nice change of pace and cool to (hear) a softer side from you guys and it can be good to mix it up a bit sometimes.

It was cool to see you guys open up and be a bit vulnerable...I think for your pod having an episode like that really makes the listener feel like they are a mate."

    Little Debbie

Little Debbie started out in 1934 as McKees , the same year Chris lost his virginty to Miss Anita. O.D. McKee and his wife Ruth began selling 5¢ snack cakes from the back of his 1928 Whippet. Not Whipple, unfotunately. It wasn't unti 1960 that they started selling the individually packaged snacks as "Little Debbie" (named after their granddaughter) that we know today. Debbies parents didn't even know their daughter was the face until the first cartons were being printed. Debbie McKee-Fowler currently holds the position of Executive Vice President and serves on the McKee Foods Board of Directors, and it introducing the 4th generation of McKees to leadership roles in McKee Foods.

In 1960 the cost of a carton of Little Debbie oatmeal cream pies was only $.49. After its initial introduction, more than 14 million cakes were sold within 10 months. While the Oatmeal Creme Pie was the original Little Debbie snack cake, there were 14 different varieties by 1964 including the ever-popular Nutty Buddy® Wafer Bars and Swiss Cake Roll.

As of 2013, McKee ships more than 900 million cartons of Little Debbie products each year.

According to CSP Daily News, in 2015 Little Debbie cake brands had $99M in sales, with 121.1M units sold. According to the same report, Little Debbie controls 165% of the market dollars, following the Hostess brand; BUT, controls 28.9% of the units in the market, with Hostess holding only 26.1%.

    Little Debbie and Shagnasty

    Little Debbie and Shagnasty

We start out with etiquette and move into the clothes we buy and how our early childhood trained us toward brand loyalty. The things we lived as children really do shape our adult perceptions. Kat & Moose howl through the depths of each other’s deepest problems, rooted in terminology used in their lives before age 5. And someone may have peed their pants.

Kat pontificates about etiquette and Emily Post, including when the appropriate time is to put one’s napkin in one’s lap. Kat’s Mom is against paper towels and dishwashers.

Moose shops at Old Navy and Macy’s and wears clothes off of the rack. Kat, not so much. Moose talks about drunk shopping on eBay. Kat wears a head lamp when she walks her dogs in the dark.

Moose has a theory that the items we purchase are based on what we grew up with. Oat Milk and Almond Milk are a thing now.

Moose needed Nike-brand cleats in high school. She celebrated the Payless Shoe Store version just the same.

Moose asks Kat about childhood grocery store brand loyalty. Somehow Kat’s family always had Diet Coke, and never generic colas. Moose’s family was a Pepsi family. Moose talks about Granda Alice and her trucker-cup full of whiskey. Moose talks about Red Soda and her sister’s special time. Grandma Alice thought pads were Little Debbie Cakes.

The conversation circles back to Kat’s early childhood wounds due to her Grandmother calling her “Shagnasty.” Moose tries to break the shackles off of Kat from being called “Shagnasty.”

The rest...well, you have to listen.
