Consuming foods high on the food chain, specifically animal products, is wasteful. The same acre of land produces 17 times more calories growing potatoes compared to beef.Farming animal-based foods is fossil fuel intensive. Growing, manufacturing, and transporting plant-based foods produces relatively more and better-quality food for less energy, producing fewer molecules of planet-warming CO2. Cattle and sheep cause additional damage by producing a far more powerful GHG, methane, by intestinal rumination.

    notes:

    • USDA is updating the rules for school lunches for kids in order to help them post pandemic.  Schools will be allowed to offer low fat or 1% milk, along with non fat and other low fat options.  And to top it off at least (AGAIN AT LEAST) 80% of the breakfasts and lunch must be whole grain rich.

What this translates to folks is a high sugar and carbohydrate diet rich in nothing but foods that will cause inflammation and high spikes in insulin levels among other things.  This will just fatten kids up more.

    • An interesting Photo was released today in my home state of Georgia, Stacey Abrams was seen sitting in a classroom in the middle of a group of kids.  Nothing unusual, just another photo up for a person running for governor… Except that the kids were all masked up, and well… she wasn't.

A slap in the face to the voters who are being told that even if you are vaccinated you need to wear a mask. And since the pandemic began, regardless of the hard science that this virus has little to no effect on kids, we have been told children must wear masks in school…

The CDC has also finally came out and admitted that this virus effects people greatly with pre-existing conditions and comorbidities, Stacey Abrams has one… she is morbidly obese.  Well at least to the media's standards… I think she qualifies as just obese, but since Trump was considered morbidly obese and is considerably skinnier than she is… well you get it.

I'm not trying to be a dick here, I am just pointing out the massive amounts of double standards… Not to mention that this is an ongoing issue for democrats.

Rules for thee but not for me. Governor Gavin Newsome, a strong proponent for lockdowns and to this day has kept California under strict covid regulations, was caught eating at a high end restaurant with friends and family at the same table unmasked.

Mayor Garcetti of Los Angeles was caught taking photographs with athletes without a mask. When asked about it he said “Oh It's ok I was holding my breath”....

Even AOC went to the free state of Florida to vacation from her beautiful Communist state of New York… oh and she caught omicron while she was there…

Yes, what seemed like a harmless photo blew up in Stacy's fat face… Not sure how anyone in her organization didn't see this as a bad idea.. But maybe they don't really care, I mean Mao didn't really care and neither did Lenon. Shut up and do what you're told, don't worry about what I am doing.

We see this attitude with all the democrats policies… Including climate change.  They tell us, with bleeding hearts and tears in their eyes.  That the world as we know it will end, and that our children's future is in danger.  If we do not do anything to combat climate change…

They go to big meetings in Europe in convoys of gas guzzling SUVs to tell us about these things.  The Convoys came from the airport where their private planes are parked.

They tell us that to combat climate change we have to eat less meat, and drive battery operated cars.  Meanwhile none of them do either… and for the record neither of these things will actually solve climate change.  It's just gonna make someone really rich while you get sick of processed meat and wait for your car to charge up so you can go to work.

Such a simple photo, but it's like they say.  A picture is worth a thousand words.

    • Joe Rogan is in the news again today, this time apologizing for saying the “N” word in previous podcasts.

You should never apologize for not doing anything wrong.  I understand if maybe he genuinely feels guilty for saying that word even though it was quoting someone or something so it was not used in a harsh or negative way.  He could say on an episode, ya I dont like that word I was using it within a proper context but maybe next time I just leave it out.

When you go out of your way to post a video of you apologizing as if you used the word malevolently, when you didn't.  And you said you didn't.  But that does not matter.

This group is after Joe Rogan.  They are hell bent on having him removed from spotify and if they have it their way from the media.  They do not care that you apologized.  Apologizing is dumping fuel into the tanks of the cancel vans these idiots ride around in together.

Joe needs to understand pretty quickly that they are relentless and they wont stop.  They will come after him for something else.

Now I believe Joe Rogan isn't worried about his position at Spotify.  And he pretty much has shown that on his social media.  He knows even if he gets fired he will have options.  He didn't need Spotify before and he won't move forward.

The ball is in Spotify's court.  They don't wanna cancel him because he's a cash cow, but my question is will they cave?  I believe so.

I think Joe Rogan's time with Spotify will be coming to an end soon. He will be effectively canceled as much as the liberal left can cancel him.  He will be accepted in almost every conservative network, and libertarian free speech platform.  And that's really all he needs. He will more than likely go back to posting his content on youtube and other podcast channels.  Rumble has apparently already offered him an 100 million dollar deal for four years if he is let go.

    Talk about Rumble.

Joe Rogan has nothing to apologize for.  I don't agree with everything he says and does but he is a great podcaster because he allows people to come on and talk and say what they have to say.  AND he challenges everyone.  No one gets a free pass with Joe Rogan and that's good.  That's called a healthy debate, and healthy information. Not one sided, Bias, like so much is…

After all, Joe Rogan supported Bernie Sanders (yikes).. ITs not like he's some die hard trumper or something.

What this shows us is that no matter your views or who you align yourself with it's only a matter of time before they come for you.  Step out of line, it's to the corn field!

Joe Rogan stepped out of line.  It's one thing to question diet and medicine… but you questioned the covid vaccines, and the pandemic… you pushed back and invited the wrong people on your show.  And now you must be destroyed at all costs.

It's not like his “N” word remarks are anything new, most of them are over a decade old. This is a blatant and malicious attack on his character in order to have him canceled.

He should have seen this and told everyone to kiss his ass.

But he didn't, he apologized when did not have to.  They love that, they smile when you do that.  Because they know they got you, they won… and well the next step is ending your career.

This is why Joe Rogan is essentially done on Spotify… They are loading their guns for the next folly of attack.  How he responds will be imperative.  But I don't think that matters anymore, the heat may be too much for the big wigs at Spotify, they may pull the plug.

Frankly I kind of hope they do, So Joe can go somewhere else with his own network or an existing one and show that he can't be canceled because people support him.  Because people know what he is doing is genuine and not of malevolence.

That would be a massive blow to the cancel culture.

Everyone has been saying if there's anyone who can defeat it, it's Joe Rogan.  And I think he will… but I don't think he does it staying at spotify, not anymore.

    Wrap it up.

SUMMER SERIES | Belinda Fettke: Veganism, Public Health Messages and the Influence of Sanitarium

Hello and welcome back to another episode of the Unstress Summer Series. This time, I want to turn the focus to where our public health messages are coming from. For this, I’d like to share my conversation from earlier this year with Belinda Fettke.

Belinda is the wife of Gary Fettke,  an Orthopaedic Surgeon practising in Launceston, Tasmania, who has come under scrutiny for his research into the influence of Seventh Day Adventism and Cereal companies impact on creating dietary guidelines.

In our conversation, Belinda and I discuss the origin of public health messages, the rise of veganism in the west from a sustainability discourse and take a broader lens to explore the origins of health food branding in the 21st century.

    Is Brownie Cake?

    Is Brownie Cake?

Sometimes, you’ve got to face the big life questions. Like why are we here? What is the meaning of life? And is brownie cake? This week, we get answers (at least to that last one) and try some new and classic Trader Joe’s baking mixes. Not on the menu but certainly on their minds: the glory of Amish baked goods, a debate about the value of Arby’s, and whether Evie is an alien or not.

    Pretty Fishy

Nope, that title isn’t a trick. Katie’s taking a well-deserved week off, so Evie reeled in her fiancé, Brian, to be her co-hoe. They dove head-first into Trader Joe’s seafood burgers and paddled through all kinds of tangents. There's just one rule at this pool, though: Do not even think about microwaving these patties at work. Not on the menu but certainly on their minds: Brian’s midwestern love for circular frozen foods, Evie’s discovery of the new fish, Mahi Tuna, some sports references, and the best ’90s Lunchables.

Once again, it’s time to see which champion will win the gold. No, we’re not talking about the Olympics. We’re talking another Trader Joe’s Snack Down. This time, we’re pitting M&M’s against TJ’s candy-coated competitors, and things get sticky. We also peruse the M&M’s dating profiles, get to the very well-researched bottom of the connection between chocolate and hugs, and share some very useful facts about the Abernathy Boys.

These crackers and cheese might be an unlikely pair, but they won’t be the most surprising reveal of the episode. Promise. Because we’re channeling Dora The Explorer, heading to Crack City to boost some babes, naming our future pets, and introducing time travel chic fashion. Who gave us permission, Hoes? *Three-second pause.* Do you know who gave us permission?
