What's up mi gente!  Welcome to the 2nd to the last episode of Season 1, thank you so much for your support, we almost to Season 2!! Before we get there, this week, we got the hottest records from the genres of Latin Pop, Bachata and Tropical.  In Tropical, we got a lil Salsa and a lotta Merengue y Mambo from Nacho, Maffio, Sindicato Del Ritmo, Omega and El Pekeño with Rochy RD.  In the Bachata world, we got new dancefloor heaters from Elivs Martinez, Pablo Rojas and a new remix of El Chaval De La Bachata.  All of this week's Bachata edits are courtesy of the Bachata remixer King himself, Dj Tumbao from BPM Supreme Latino.  Lastly, Chusi is back once again with an original disco retro record that will have you sliding to the dancefloor.  We also got red hot fire from Fuerza Regida, El Alfa, Steve Aoki, Pharell Williams and Rauw Alejandro, LET'S GO!!!!

What's up mi gente! Heavy hitters J Balvin and Pitbull are back with legends Usher and Nile Rodgers.  Aitana dropped her amazing album, Alpha, and I feature my favorite record from it.  Speaking of dropping albums, Feid aka Ferxxxo blessed us with another classic!  We got 5 new Bachata records too with Dj Tumbao hooking up the tight dj edits.  My standout record is the Bachabow fire from El Nephew, that record is blazing up dancefloors.  Last but not least, we got some Tropical heat where I feature 5 new mambo and merengue records that are sure to pack the dancefloor, LET'S GO!!!

What's up mi gente!  This week we have a Top 10 Latin Pop because I just had too much good music to share, so get ready to reup those setlists and playlists.  Luis Fonsi delivers with a HOT Latin Pop dance hit that will have the clubs bumping.  I feature another record from Grupo Frontera's awesome new album El Comienzo, this time they combine their classic cumbia sounds with an addictively catchy pop hook with Yahritza & Su Esencia.  Becky G's smooth vocals sound even better on her new AfroBeats track with Michaël Brun and Anne Marie.  She's not the only one, Feid blesses us with another classic, but this time over an Amapiano beat, perfect for the dancefloor.  The Queen of HipHop Snow Tha Product bangs out a room shaker of a song with the one and only, Sante Fe Klan.  Maluma droped a new album, wher  I feature an electronic pop banger from the soon to be classic lp.  In the Bachata department, I feature new music from Latin Music Legends, Illegales, who just released a new album themselves, Otro Color.  Muzik Junkies blends the beautiful voice of Karol G with Bachata beats for a must have, on your Dj setlists.  Elvis Crespo, Don Omar and Maffio finish off the mix with Tropical HEAT that will keep you moving.  Lastly, we have a special Salsa remake of Eres from one of the greatest bands to ever grace the stage,,, CÁFE TACVBA!!  LET'S GOOO!!!

Marina N. (37) Alessandro P. (39) sind mit ihren Partner:innen verheiratet. Marina sagt ihre Ehe wurde aus Vernunft geschlossen, weniger aus Liebe. Sie arbeitet in einer Anwaltskanzlei und kommt oft erst spät aus dem Büro. An einem dieser Abende wartet Marina auf die S-Bahn, die nicht kommt. Sie beschließt mit dem Taxi nach Hause zu fahren, es regnet und bei dem Versuch das letzte Taxi am Stand zu ergattern macht ihr ein äußerst attraktiver Mann einen Strich durch die Rechnung. Die Begegnung beginnt eher ruppig doch dieser Abend entpuppt sich als eine zauberhafte Auszeit vom Alltag. In einer Tequila-Bar verbringen Marina und Alessandro ihren ersten Abend mit viel Alkohol und Tanz. Es ist wie im Rausch, so eine Anziehung haben sie noch nie bei jemandem gespürt. Marina ist enthemmt und lässt sich bei dem ihr fremden Mann einfach fallen. Diese schicksalhafte Begegnung endet viel zu früh, Marina und Alessandro hadern mit ihren Gefühlen und erkennen noch deutlicher, dass sie in ihren Ehen unglücklich sind. Durch "Zufall" treffen sich die beiden am nächsten Abend wieder am Bahnsteig der S-Bahn. Sie verbringen eine weitere wunderbare Nacht und kommen sich näher. 
Hat dieses Strohfeuer eine realistische Chance? 

In dieser Folge gibt es ein Novum - Das gab es bei Drama Carbonara noch nie: Die Geschichte wird von ZWEI Personen erzählt! WOW! OMG! Und wenn wir genau sind, gibt es ein zweites Novum: Alessandro ist für Tatjana der erste Mann im Drama Universum, mit dem sie sich eine Beziehung vorstellen könnte. Nochmal WOW!

Satz der Geschichte: „Ich ertappte mich dabei, wie ich meine Mandoline, die ich heute im Restaurant wie jeden Samstag spielen würde, liebevoll an mich drückte als wäre sie Marina.“

As both a world-class performer and an advocate for her instrument, Sarah Willis is an inspiration to a generation of horn players, so I was somewhat star-struck to talk to her for this week's episode. Despite the unceasing travel difficulties and upheaval of the past two years, Sarah has been continuing to spend time in Cuba working with Cuban instrumentalists and composers. The fruits of this can be heard on her two *Mozart y Mambo* albums from July 2020 and September 2022, where she sets Mozart's magnificent horn concertos alongside traditional and contemporary Cuban dances. We dig into what makes this music tick, and how a cross-cultural collaboration can combine faithfulness to its ingredients with a knowing and sometimes irreverent angle on the canon.

• The Palace of Depression was a real place in Vineland, New Jersey. Jake claims that Eddie and the Cruisers used the actual site as a shooting location, though the internet implies that it was razed in 1969 so maybe the one from the movie was a recreation.
• Jake calls meals_by_cug a Jersey guy but it looks like he’s from Staten Island.
• We refer to our episode featuring Dave Hause, in which we go over Dave’s USA Today piece about Taylor Swift and master tapes.
• Here’s the scene from The Simpsons where Bart tries to buy a novelty license plate.
• Brian WIlson had a nervous breakdown when he heard the Beatles' Revolver.
• Sleep paralysis is the worst. Jake cites Scottish folklore that attributes it to a witch sitting on your chest. We couldn’t trace the story to Scotland, but we did discover the night hag, which isn’t too far off the mark.
• We don’t actually get into the movie, but Silverado is an 80s neo-traditional Western by Lawrence Kasdan with a stacked cast that Phil's never seen, and is the one movie that Phil will never be invited over to Jake’s house to watch.

In Part One of this two-part interview Mambo Liz Ruth of Big Liz  Conjure and Ezrulie's Garden shares a bit of her wisdom.  She dishes on spiritually empowering her daughters, her family's relationship with the Gede, and on her adventures as a Spiritual Practitioner, Education, and Diviner when COVID first emerged. 

Mambo Elizabeth Ruth (Soleil Levè Bon Mambo) is Haitian Vodou Mambo Sou Pwen, Witch, Rootworker and Diviner who trained with owners of The Vodou Store for two years. She also initiated as a Mambo Sou Pwen in Haiti in 2018. In 2015, relocated to central Ohio after spending her adult life as a resident of Chicago. She was raised by her maternal grandparents in a small town in northeastern Ohio. Her grandmother was heavily interested in astrology, UFOs, the Occult, and she communicated with the dead. When Mambo Liz was growing up, Gede (Vodou spirits of the Dead) always visited members of her family right before someone died. The spirits of her Ancestors were also frequent visitors in her home, and they continue to visit her to this day. Their reemergence in her life is why she began her training in the occult. 

She also spent vacations in her youth with her paternal grandmother and family in Alabama where she learned about the spirituality, folk magic, superstitions, and customs of the American south. 

Mambo Liz opened her online store, Big Liz Conjure 

(https://biglizconjure.com) in 2013, and she recently opened a brick and mortar store, Erzulie’s Conjure Garden, with her family in 2019 (https://www.erzuliesconjuregarden.com) 

She offers her services to clients internationally to assist them with spiritual issues using divination and Hoodoo/Conjure. She performs Playing Card, Tarot, Lenormand, and Candle Divination services. She also teaches other magical courses and mentorship through her website and store. She takes pride in also selling high-quality spiritual products to her clientele to use in their practices. 

Her religion/magical practice is Hoodoo (traditional African American Folk Magic) and Vodou. Mambo Liz also studies Traditional Witchcraft and combines them both in her magical workings as appropriate. She is diverse in her work, and she is comfortable working with clients from all backgrounds. She is often sought out for readings and workings when clients are at a crossroads in their life and need spiritual guidance to move ahead in the right direction. 

She sees Haitian Vodou, Hoodoo/Rootwork, and Divination as her ministry. Her work as a spiritual life coach has changed many lives for the better, and this is her mission as a future priestess and a witch.
