Casey Royer (Social Distortion, Detours, Adolescents, DI, Radolescents)

Back when Casey Royer was a young lad living at home, his good friend Mike Ness stayed with him for a brief stint.  Being bored young teenagers they decided to start a band in Casey’s bedroom called Social Distortion.  On this episode, Casey brings in a cassette tape with a band practice song from the first iteration of the band Social Distortion.  The recorded song on the tape is called Total Control with Mike Ness on guitar, Casey Royer on drums and Tom Corvin on vocals.  Casey also dives into talking about the Detours, Adolescents, Radolescents, and, of course, DI.  So, sit back, grab your favorite beverage and enjoy a little bit of Orange County punk rock history.

    Blind Marky (Zeke)

    Blind Marky (Zeke)

Have you ever been “Kicked in the Teeth?”  Fortunately, I have not! On this episode we interview Blind Marky (singer/guitarist) for the hardcore punk band Zeke.  The show starts with banter from the usual suspects, Stan, Chris and Rob (Bob the Bastard). Also, joining us for the first time as a guest co-host is Eric Blair from the “Blaring Out with Eric Blair Show.”  There is a bit of a discussion from the PRC team as they learn about Eric and his vast experience interviewing punks and celebrities.  Next, Blind Marky from the band Zeke calls in. If you like hardcore punk, hard rock and blues mixed in a blender with a gallon of bourbon, you are going to love this band.  He talks about the history of Zeke, musical influences and crazy tour stories throughout their career.  Finally, he discusses what the band is up to now, new recordings and scheduled tours.  Watch out!!! Zeke just might be coming to your town!!!

    Allen Stiritz (LA's Wasted Youth)

A lot of us punks were wasted during our youth.  We are excited for this new episode with Allen Stiritz  the drummer for LA’s Wasted Youth.  First, we kick off the episode with an update on the filming of our documentary “Where the County Line Ends – The Evolution of Orange County punk”.  Next, Allen calls us from Germany for our interview.  We dive into his early punk years, joining Wasted Youth, crazy shows and their “Reagan’s In” album and why he had to leave America.  Before his segment ends, he talks about his new band “Blown Chunks”.  These guys play great old school punk rock and will be releasing an album soon.  We want to thank Allen for taking the time to call us and sharing these stories.

Don’t be a menace to society unless you are Ricky Menace! We received an outpour of positive comments and encouraging feedback from our social media followers.   Next, Ricky Menace of Taxi TV joins the show and meets the PRC crew for the first time in person.  Ricky does a deep dive into what the Orange County music scene means to him, how he started Taxi TV and the reason why he’s putting on the BUZZBASH show on April 30, 2022 at the Tiki Bar in Costa Mesa.  Mr. Menace also talks about his time as a professional driver and gives us some interesting stories of picking up customers in the wee hours of the morning.  All in all, it was another robust discussion that music fans will be sure to enjoy.
