Our third In Memoriam installment features James Caan. We've done Elf already, so we stick with another somewhat underrated choice, Honeymoon in Vegas. This has been a longtime favorite for Pete and Brad and Caan's performance opposite Nicolas Cage is a big reason why. Also starring Sarah Jessica Parker, and featuring roles by Pat Morita, Peter Boyle, Tony Shalhoub, and a young Bruno Mars, it's a star-studded affair.
Listen to hear if it still holds up or if we felt like jumping out of a plane. Then stick around for our lists of Love Triangle movies. With Vegas and Indecent Proposal, these types of movies were all the rage in the early 90's. What else makes our lists? Time to be a fool and rush in to this fun installment of PCY.

The finale for 1984 is Pete's choice, The Karate Kid. This pop culture phenomenon is one our favorites and one of the most perfect movies ever made in our opinion. There is so much to say about class, bullying, self-control, and more, and we cover it all. Pat Morita was nominated for an Oscar, but how do we feel about Ralph Macchio and William Zabka? Or Elisabeth Shue?
With all the sequels and reboots, this film started a pop culture sensation that has never left the consciousness. And now we have Cobra Kai keeping it alive. We delve into that series a little, and also use it as a starting point for our favorite TV of 1984. You're all right, PCY! Thanks a lot! We did it! Cue the credits.

A look at the new documentary film, More Than Miyagi-The Pat Morita Story. This Kevin Derek project provides a look at the iconic and beloved Japanese-American actor and comedian who brought The Karate Kid's central character to life. Pat Morita was known for his role as the wise Japanese Sensei of the 1980's blockbuster, The Karate Kid, but he was much more than this in real life. He was a pioneer actor and comedian, forging the way for other Asian-American stars at a time when Hollywood sunned Asian-Americans. His complex life and mind are the subject of this endearing and funny look at this memorable man. Marc Zirogiannis provides his thoughts on the film, the man, and his place in the Cobra Kai world. This film has shot up the iTunes documentary charts since its release in early February, 2021.
