In this episode, Arnie and Fred discuss what the Bible says about Luke who is referred to as "the beloved physician" in Colossians 4 verse 14.  We note that he is one of the most prominent disciples of the early gospel age, but he is very inconspicuous in the writings of the New Testament of which he wrote 2 books. However, his name  does not appear in either the book of Luke or Acts which he wrote. There is little known about Luke except that which is contained in seven passages: 4 in the "we" sections of the book of Acts and 3 times where Paul references him in his writings. In our discussion, we summarize those passages noting who he was with, where he was and what was being done there. We talk about the fact that Luke was a Gentile who had obeyed the gospel. He was intelligent and educated, accepted by men of rank and dignity. We note that he was not a witness of Jesus and what He had done.  He is among the number Jesus referred to in John 20, verse 29.  It is evident that Luke grew rapidly as a Christian after he obeyed the gospel. Paul had full confidence leaving him at Philippi to continue the work of teaching the gospel unattended. We end our episode at this point. The need for rapid Covid testing is crucial to flattening this curve. When will they be available?

Ottawa and Toronto are coping with more lockdowns, and several areas in Quebec are in the same situation. The federal government has announced the purchase of almost 8 million rapid tests. It was aiming to conduct 200 thousand a day across the country, but currently we’re seeing about 70 thousand completed. The question for many is ‘why is it taking so long?’ for Health Canada to give approval.

What exactly is available now? What’s coming down the pipe? Will Canada have the lab capacity to meet the demand?
