MARK DAWIDZIAK returns to further our appreciation of Halloween. What is interesting to note from Mark's expanded edition of "Everything I Need to Know I Learned in the Twilight Zone" is that he was friends and had extensive interviews with stellar sci-fi/horror authors Ray Bradbury and Richard Matheson. What was the key to their success? We'll move into other authors to put us into the seasonal mood such as Poe and Dickens. We plan on discussing the often overlooked terrifying movie "Duel" and cover some of Matheson's magnificent contributions to "The Twilight Zone."

Yikes!  This is a long episode.  Jennifer does the show she was born to produce:  an exploration of Rod Serling's work.  A life-long Serling fan, Jennifer indulges in a trip down memory lane to a television series she first fell in love with as a little girl:  The Twilight Zone.  But first, she explores themes Serling returned to again and again in his stories and breaks down two of his pre-Twilight Zone masterpieces--Patterns and Requiem for a Heavyweight to highlight the mastery with which those themes are depicted.  Serling was a beautiful writer, but not even he could write a classic every time.  Jennifer does a countdown of what are, in her opinion, the worst Twilight Zone episodes, and then takes a look at the series pilot, a fabulous little gem called "Where is Everybody?"  As always, she wraps up with her Favorite Thing of the Week.

Because Jennifer loves stories more than anything in the world, and because The Twilight Zone is spilling over with them, this episode of Circa Sunday Night ("Serling Sunday Night"--see what she did there?) is planned as the first in an occasional series under the Circa Sunday Night banner that will examine that show.

Tark Le'Otter shares a bible reading, and then Peter talks to us about the I Am Legend events that happen around here - with some helpful pointers on the value of working alongside others, especially those who may be different from us.

Mary Henry gives her trendy new keyboard a spin, with our prayerful 'Omega Man' meditation. Then our worship band lead us in a rousing, uplifting church chorus about 'The Thing'.
