Current projects include producing the SAG feature film Final Dress, a teen slasher set in a summer theater camp, which addresses sexual assault in the live theater world.

In an interview with Flourish-Meant, Potter shares his insights on playing the antagonist to Jesus, and how he approaches empathizing with his character rather than judging him. He also talks about the importance of being a part of something bigger than oneself and the value of seeing people come together for a common cause. Amanda Jenkins shares about the 25th wedding anniversary she and Dallas are celebrating TODAY, JUNE 13, 2023! Happy anniversary to one of our favorite couples out there. Twenty-five years is a beautiful milestone and a testament to God's faithfulness through and in you! We love you and honor the Lord alongside you.

Amanda and Stephanie talk about the crucible of suffering as the unavoidable process which our gentle Lord uses to refine us and keep us closely tied to His side, for our protection and growth. She explains how recent intense pain has led her to write the Bible Study that will soon release alongside season 4 of the show. She explains how she has discovered how God's goodness truly can eclipse our suffering - not in a pollyanna way at all, but through the pain and the daily releasing to Him who is more than able to bear it. We can only endure suffering when we are deeply rooted in who God is. As Amanda shares some of the recent personal struggles and sufferings she and her family have endured, she reveals how they have grown in the Lord through it, and what she has learned about herself and, more essentially, about God.

This episode finds me still recovering from my hip surgery this past Wednesday. Everything went well… I am just taking a bit more time to rest. With that in mind, today’s episode is a re-air of one of my favorite episodes from this past year: It’s Time to Stir Up the Water.  Before we dive in, can I remind us all that when God puts something on our hearts, as He did with this one for me, you have to share it… sometimes more than once, am I right?! 

So as you’ve heard me mention before, I’m a BIG fan of The Chosen. I recently watched episode 4 of Season 2, and something stirred inside me.  In this episode - One of the things that Jesus tells Matthew - is sometimes, “You Got to Stir Up the Water”  and walk off like A BOSS. I loved it.  I’ve been thinking about this ever since, especially how it relates to Podcasting. 

One thing I’ve noticed recently…  is that so many podcasts are formula-driven. You know what I’m talking about – Music-intro-main content-music =outro with CTA + music. Even the show notes are formula driven.

The thing is, you don’t have to have YOUR show sound like everyone else. You want it to be unique. With over 2 million podcasts worldwide, you must set yourself apart to be seen.

So this is a bit different episode today, but it was something that was on my heart when I sat down to record. This is what I love about podcasting - it can be whatever you want to do.

So y’all know I’m a big proponent of storytelling; it drew me to podcasting and what I believe podcasting is all about.  So I’ve mentioned it before, I’m a BIG fan of The Chosen.

We cannot overlook remaining engaged with God’s people, even if we feel excluded for some or any reason! The Bible strongly points to the assembly of believers, important as a built-in protection on many levels, especially against deceptive and lying people and spirits as in 1 Timothy 4. Subsequent to becoming isolated is the loss of accountability to those who love and care for you, followed by the most vulnerable position of all, that of being unaccountable spiritually, not accountable to anyone, putting you in a position where you are literally alone and on your own. Don’t let that happen. Combat feelings of weakness and inadequacy that pull against God’s intention for you. We’ll discuss more about how in this episode.
