@LoveriaSecrets y @Bianca_LadyWellness #EntreBrujas

Exploring the Link Between Childhood Trauma and Narcissistic Relationships.

Exploring the Link Between Childhood Trauma and Narcissistic Relationships.

In this episode, I will explore the intricate connection between childhood trauma, attachment theory and patterns of behavior that  contribute to the emotional and psychological factors that trap trauma survivors in the cycle of abuse.  Through sharing my personal story of abuse, I will attempt to answer the perplexing question of why victims of narcissistic relationships find it so difficult to leave their abusive partners.

Drawing from personal narratives and research, I explore the lasting effects of childhood trauma, including neglect, abuse, abandonment, or inconsistent caregiving. I discuss how these early wounds can disrupt healthy attachment styles, impair self-esteem, and contribute to difficulties in establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries. Furthermore, I examine the ways in which individuals who have experienced childhood trauma may be more susceptible to the manipulative tactics employed by narcissists. I explore the connection between unmet emotional needs, a longing for validation, and the allure of charismatic individuals who initially appear to fill those voids.

Throughout the episode, I emphasize the importance of trauma-informed care, therapy, and healing modalities in addressing the impact of childhood trauma on adult relationships. I delve into the process of self-discovery, self-compassion, and reestablishing healthy relationship patterns that empower individuals to break free from the cycle of narcissistic abuse.

Fostering empathy, understanding, and accessible resources, can help us create a more compassionate society that prioritizes the healing and well-being of survivors. By shedding light on this connection, I strive to promote healing, resilience, and empower individuals to break free from destructive patterns and cultivate healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

If you or someone you know is experiencing narcissistic abuse or any form of abuse, it is important to seek help and support. Unraveling the Mind: Navigating Cognitive Dissonance

Unraveling the Mind: Navigating Cognitive Dissonance

In this episode, I will explore the fascinating realm of cognitive dissonance and its profound impact on our thoughts, beliefs and decision making process as we struggle to find our way out of the fog of narcissistic relationships. Narcissistic relationships are characterized by a power imbalance, manipulation, and the narcissist's relentless need for control, admiration, and validation. When cognitive dissonance is at play, it can create a psychological trap that makes it challenging for the victim to break free from the toxic dynamics.  Recognizing the inconsistencies, seeking validation for one's experiences, and understanding the manipulative tactics of narcissists are crucial steps towards breaking free from the cycle of cognitive dissonance and reclaiming one's emotional well-being.

If you or someone you know is experiencing narcissistic abuse or any form of abuse, it is important to seek help and support. Reach out to local helplines, counseling services, or organizations specializing in domestic violence or abuse. Remember, you are not alone and there are resources available to assist you.

    Narcissism 101 - Part 1

    Narcissism 101 - Part 1

Narcissism. That’s a word that has been thrown around a lot more lately, but what is a narcissist really? Today my guest is Cheyla Breedlove, my childhood friend, and between the two of us we’ve dealt with our fair share of narcissists. In two-parts, we’ll dive into what a narc really is, how to figure out if you have a narc in your life, and the red flags to spot em! Cheyla has studied the behaviors of narcissism for years, and I deal with clients all the time going through and getting over narcissistic abuse. Dealing with narcissistic abuse is not easy, and it takes time, courage and education to fully eliminate and move on from them and begin to heal. If any of what you hear from part one, or part two when it comes out resonates with you, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have! So pull up a chair and take some notes my friends, because it’s about to get juicy!

That started her on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. In 2002, Teresa and her son moved to Pennsylvania, where she began focusing on her gifts.

A gifted ceramic artist, she creates beautiful works of art as one way of connecting back to herself and God.
