    Leviticus Chapter 27 Part 1

    Leviticus Chapter 27 Part 1
We are commanded in the New Covenant, to render our life turn it over unto God as a living sacrifice with one desire, and that is to be well pleasing to Him. Now, the reason why I selected that portion of Scripture is that it gives us a new covenant perspective for understanding what is going to be discussed here in Leviticus chapter 27. 11/5 - Nehemiah 9:38-10:39

    11/5 - Nehemiah 9:38-10:39

In this week's sermon on Nehemiah 9:38-10:39, guest Pastor Joe Julian from Citylight Omaha walked through Israel's vow of faithfulness to the Lord. In these verses, we learn that God's covenant with us requires a response of trust from us. We can trust God with all of our priorities, allegiances and generosity. Paise God! His new covenant requires nothing but our trust because Jesus fulfills everything through his humanity.

    Leviticus Chapter 22 Part 2

    Leviticus Chapter 22 Part 2
When we deal with worship, a major part of worshiping is giving. And we need to give based upon the instructions of God. And we're going to be looking at a passage of scripture that teaches us some important principles on giving, how we demonstrate worship in our life, that we are willing to make sacrifices and to give these offerings unto the Lord. Live From AZ: I Do Part 2 With Artem & Gleb

Live From AZ: I Do Part 2 With Artem & Gleb

This show has been over one year in the making! A vow renewal, old friends, and an anniversary gift from Artem which left Nikki in shock.

Nikki & Brie are live from Gila River Resorts & Casinos - Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, Arizona, doing what they do best: putting on a live show!

Nikki & Brie kick things off with The Gorilla from The Phoenix Suns, who might not be much for words, but he brings immense energy to the stage. Then, The Garcia Twins get the crowd involved as bad first dates are the topic for Opening Up with some astonishing stories from the crowd. Brie also had an awkward moment with Buddy, leaving her with more questions than answers.

Then Nikki & Brie bring Artem out to talk about one year of wedded bliss and what the future holds, and in a plot twist that nobody saw coming, Nikki didn't write anything down for the vow renewal; this time, she went straight from the heart.

Then Artem reveals the big surprise that he and Gleb have been working on for months, leaving Nikki & and the crowd wanting more. You'll definitely want to check out The Nikki & Brie Show's IG and YT channels for the visuals because words will never do it justice.

As things cool down a little bit after the big surprise, Nikki, Brie, Artem, and Gleb take questions from the crowd about favorite sisters, favorite dance partners, and then there's a bouquet toss like any classy vow renewal. Also, Brie takes the mic to put a new twist on her matron of honor speech with a new tradition: Toast & Roast.

The Nikki & Brie Newlywed Game definitely has a little turbulence when some questions and answers are lost in translation, and luckily, Gleb is on hand to translate; even when love is the universal language, there can be some misinterpretation.

To close out the episode Nikki & Brie welcome Ariane Andrew to the stage, their Total Divas bestie, who takes the mic and motivates the audience to chase their dreams, then she flips the script on Nikki & Brie for a great moment to finish off a fantastic episode that had more twists and turns than one of Artem's Russian soap operas!

Copy of 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday: What if You Put Down What You’re Carrying

Copy of 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday: What if You Put Down What You’re Carrying

Hello to you listening in Mandaluyong City, Philippines!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds (and a bit more ) for Story Prompt Friday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

The other day something pretty rotten happened to me. I felt taken advantage of. How dare she? Who does she think she is? After all I’ve done! My anger and resentment continued long past their shelf life. What happened next? I remembered something.

Perhaps you’re familiar with the story of two Buddhist monks, one older and one younger, walking a dirt road back to their temple. Arriving at a wide river they see a woman standing on the bank unsure of how to cross. She asks for help. Without a word the older monk lifts her in his arms, carries her across the river, sets her gently on the other side and nods farewell.

The younger monk is shocked! An hour of walking, then two, then three, and finally the younger monk explodes in rage: “We took a vow as monks not to touch women! You carried her! You broke the sacred vow!”

As the story goes the older monk says, “Yes, I picked her up, I put her down, and you are still carrying her.”

Story Prompt: What are you carrying around that’s ready to be put down? How would it feel to let it go? Write that story!

Practical Tip: The magic of stories is also in the sharing. If you wish share your story with someone or something.   All that matters is you have a story.

You’re invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time! Remember to stop by the website, check out the Services, arrange a Discovery Call, and Opt In to stay current with Diane and Quarter Moon Story Arts and on Linked In.

    J. Estanislao Lopez — Alternate Ending: The Escape of Jephthah’s Daughter

Old stories — of mythology or religion — have sometimes been depicted as having one narrative and one interpretation. Here, J. Estanislao Lopez takes on the voice of a character whose story ended in violence, inviting listeners to claim their agency as this character claims hers.

    J. Estanislao Lopez is the author of We Borrowed Gentleness (Alice James Books, 2022). His poetry has appeared in The New Yorker, Ploughshares, The Rumpus, and Poetry Magazine, as well as the anthology The BreakBeat Poets Vol. 4: LatiNext. Lopez received his MFA from the Warren Wilson Program for Writers.

    Two Roads | 2 Corinthians 11:1-4

    Two Roads | 2 Corinthians 11:1-4
In this passage Paul tells the Corinthians he wanted to present them as a pure virgin to their husband, Christ. He was afraid that as Eve was deceived, so the Corinthians would be led astray from their pure and sincere devotion to Christ. He was concerned that they were being receptive to a different Jesus, a different spirit, and a different gospel. It is the same issues our culture struggles with today. Until Jesus returns there will be false teachers trying to lead us away from the biblical Jesus to faith in ourselves.
