    LDS AND MEDIUM PODCAST BACKGROUND:
I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or LDS for short. All my life I felt awkward and out of place, not because of my religion, but because of my spiritual gifts. It was hard to combine the idea of what first seemed like two separate worlds. So my whole life I have tried. I have learnt more about my gifts, and stayed faithful to my faith. But then I heard people left the church because it seems impossible to combine the two. So I am here, to try and mend the rift. To show that it is possible to be both LDS and to have, and use, our spiritual gifts. I am not alone on this journey, but my sister, who just is waking up to her spiritual gifts is by my side and she will also share her story.

Jesus Christ, our older brother, was a healer. He asked us to love one another. So let´s follow in his footsteps. Please join me on this journey, let´s make a community of strong spiritual LDS, or whatever religion you belong to, and all work together to make this world a better place.

"Treat yourself as if you're someone you loved.” - Ryan Lindner

    EPISODE OVERVIEW:

Did you hear the one about the young boy who struggled with loneliness, childhood anxiety, OCD, insecurity, and developed an eating disorder? You know, the one where he ate a ton of food to medicate the pain, but in high school a single embarrassing moment transformed his eating disorder into an obsession with working out to the point of anorexia? Then, when he gets a bit older and goes off into college he decides to start lifting weights. What happens then?

In a nutshell, he puts on a hundred pounds of muscle, but he’s still not healthy. He dedicates his life to fitness and studying the science of exercise, but he’s not emotionally fit. Then, after starting his own physical training business, he grows his clientele, but has two cardiac arrests. Crazy, right? Watch or Listen Now to hear how today’s guest explains how he went from living in anxiety and stress, to accepting the uncertainties in life, and learned to let go and live. Ladies & Gentlemen, welcome to the Ryan Lindner story!

    GUEST BIO:

Ryan Lindner is a personal development specialist who has worked as a behavioral coach for clients and top organizations all over the world. After two sudden, unexplained cardiac arrests at a young age, he began to explore different perspectives with clients that come with any profound, life-changing event. If you aren’t living, you’re dying. It wasn’t uncommon for Ryan to teeter on unconsciousness even, at times, while working with a client, requiring him to prioritize his own energy and time masterfully, and assisting clients to do the same.

Ryan has conducted over 6,000 sessions for the US military, he has led operations for a major leadership and organizational change company, and manages learning and development projects for companies to reshape their customer experience.

Identity, Part 4: I Have Purpose // Jamie Nunnally

Identity, Part 4: I Have Purpose // Jamie Nunnally

Did you know that you were created with a purpose? In this message, Pastor Jamie Nunnally share how YOU can know YOUR purpose.

Your identity is who you think you are.  Identity theft leads to an identity crisis, and the body of Christ is suffering from an identity crisis because we are letting people other than God tell us who we are. Your identity determines your activity, and your activity determines your destiny.

4 different “fingerprints” that determine our identity.
    1. I am a child of God
    2. I am unconditionally loved
    3. I am in Christ
    4. I have purpose

    Fingerprint #4: You Have Purpose
We all long for purpose because we live in a purposeful world. Life seems pointless when you’re purposeless.
Prov. 57:2 “I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me.”
You were made for meaning, and you were planned for purpose by a Creator who intentionally crafted you.
This means that your Salvation is not only about having a future home in heaven but having a present purpose on earth.

    What is my purpose?
    1. Get to know God.
John 17:3 “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
God created you for connection with Him.
2 Peter 3:18 “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

    2. Get to know your spiritual family.
    God fashioned you for family.
Luke 10:27-29 “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
You can love God by yourself, but you can’t love others by yourself.

    Matthew 6:9-13 – The Lord’s Prayer
We’re saved as individuals but we grow in groups. Christian growth is a group project and immature believers believe by themselves.

    3. Get to work.
We don’t work to get saved, but once we’re saved, we get to work.
Ephesians 2:8-10 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
The Salvation Equation: Grace + Faith = Salvation + Works

1 Cor 15:58 “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”
Your ministry probably won’t be your full-time job, but your full-time job is going to be part of your ministry.
    You were created to contribute.

    Final Question:
    Are you walking in purpose?

Identity, Part 3: I Am In Christ // Jamie Nunnally

Identity, Part 3: I Am In Christ // Jamie Nunnally

What does it mean to be "In Christ?" How do you know if you are "In Christ?" Pastor Jamie Nunnally answers these questions in this message, which is part 3 of “Identity: Who Do You Think You Are?”

Your identity is who you think you are.  Identity theft leads to an identity crisis, and the body of Christ is suffering from an identity crisis because we are letting people other than God tell us who we are. Your identity determines your activity, and your activity determines your destiny.

During this series, we look at 4 different “fingerprints” that determine our identity:
    1. I am a child of God.
    2. I am unconditionally loved.
    3. I am in Christ.
    4. I have purpose.

Fingerprint #3: You are in Christ.
Colossians 3:3-4 “For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
Christianity is not a self-help program, but a self-death program. We don’t add Jesus to our life, we get absorbed  into His life.  We grow spiritually, not by improving ourselves, but removing ourselves.
    Galatians 2:20
It is our faith that places us in Christ. When we are hidden in Him, we no longer exist apart from Him.

How can I tell if I am in Christ?
You know you are in Christ if you’re new.
    2 Corinthians 5:17
    Galatians 6:15

Three things that happen when you are in Christ:
    1. You are forgiven in Christ.
    Ephesians 1:7
If you are in Christ, you’re forgiven, whether you feel like it or not.
    Romans 8:1
How often do you think about a bill you’ve already paid? You don’t. That's how often God thinks about your forgiven sin: He doesn’t.

    2. You are accepted in Christ.
Righteousness is the state of being in acceptable condition to God.
Three types of righteousness (and only one works):
Righteousness of the world – be good
Righteousness of religion – be better
Righteousness of God –  be in Christ.
    Romans 3:22
    Philippians  3:6-9
Receiving the acceptance of God doesn’t mean we stop trying, it just means that we stop trying out.

    3. You are victorious in Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57“But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Whatever holds your attention has your affection.
Romans 8:37 “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved  us.”
Your victory comes from God’s power, not your will-power. Victory is found in surrender, not in striving.

    4. You have eternal life in Christ.
1 John 5:11-12 “And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.”
One of the biggest lies that is told is that good people go to Heaven. No, people in Christ go where He is.

    Are you in Christ?

Identity, Part 2: I Am Unconditionally Loved // Jamie Nunnally

Identity, Part 2: I Am Unconditionally Loved // Jamie Nunnally

We all have a running dialogue with ourselves in our minds. What do YOU tell yourself about yourself? Are you lying to yourself? In this message, Pastor Jamie Nunnally shares the truth about you: You are unconditionally loved.

Your identity is who you think you are.
During this series, we’re going to look at 4 different “fingerprints” that determine our identity
    1. I am a child of God
    2. I am unconditionally loved
    3. I am in Christ
    4. I have purpose

Fingerprint #2: You are unconditionally loved.
What is love? Our culture uses a heart as the symbol of love. Scripture uses a bloody cross.
1 John 4:16 “We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.”

4 Types of Love in Ancient Greek
Eros – passion (I love you, I’m just not IN love with you)
Phileo – friendship (We just don’t have anything in common)
Agape – sacrifice (It’s not you, its me)
John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”
    Storge - family
Unconditional love is love that is constant, unchanging, and has no strings attached.

    God’s unconditional love for you:
    1. Is unstoppable.
Romans 8:35-39 “Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.  38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The negative things that happen to you are not an accurate reflection of how God feels about you. You can’t do anything to make God love you more, or love you less. You can’t get more of His love because its all been given. You can’t earn less of it because it doesn’t depend on how good you are but how good He is. This means trying to get God to love you is like trying to make water wet. Love is not just what He does, it's who He is. Stop trying to earn it - start learning to live it.

If you don’t train yourself to believe this, you will waste time earning God’s affection instead of living in it and giving it away to the world around you. Choose to believe God’s love for you, anything less is believing a lie.

    2. Is always pursuing you.1 John 4:10 “This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”
Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man[a] came to seek and save those who are lost.”

    3. Actively helps you.
Love is a verb: service, action, charity.
John 5:17 “But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.”
The opposite of love is not hate, but inaction. We’re often afraid to ask God for help because we know we don’t deserve it. But Gods willingness to help is based on His goodness, not our worthiness.

    4. Is not easy, comfortable or pretty.
    1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love does what’s best for the other person.
Do you believe that you are unconditionally loved? Do you act like it?

Identity, Part 1: I am a Child of God // Jamie Nunnally

Identity, Part 1: I am a Child of God // Jamie Nunnally

Have you noticed division and immaturity within the body of Christ? When God’s people don’t act right, it’s because they don’t know who they are. In this message, the first of this sermon series, Pastor Jamie Nunnally will help you know your true identity.

Your identity is who you think you are.
Identity theft leads to an identity crisis.
    1. Your identity decides your activity, and your activity decides your destiny.
Who you think you are determines what you'll do.
    2. How you see yourself determines how you treat yourself. How you treat yourself teaches others how to treat you.

During this series, we’re going to look at 4 different “fingerprints” that determine our identity:
I am a child of God
    I am unconditionally loved
    I am in Christ
    I have purpose

You are a Child of God
    1. You have a Heavenly Father.
Genesis 1:26 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.”
Image = resemblance (look like), likeness = nature (act like).
You were created to look like God and act like God, but not everyone is God’s child.
    John 1:12-13

Jesus referred to God as His Father.  One of the names  He called His Father was Abba – Aramaic for “daddy."
    Romans 8:15-16
God is not only Jesus’ Abba, but your Abba.
You may not have had a physical father in your home, you can have a heavenly Father in your heart.

    2. You have been adopted.
Ephesians 1:4-5 “Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
    1 Peter 2:9

    3. You have an inheritance.
Galatians 4:7 “Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.”
    Romans 8:17
If we want the benefits of being God's child, we must also be willing to do the hard work of being inGod's family.

“If you want to judge how well a person understands Christianity, find out how much he makes of the thought of being God's child, and having God as his Father. If this is not the thought that prompts and controls his worship and prayers and his whole outlook on life, it means that he does not understand Christianity very well at all.”  - J.I. Packer, “Knowing God”

Do you believe that you’re a child of God?

Foundation with Steve Teed Episode 14: Who am I? - Our Identity is Being Stolen

Foundation with Steve Teed Episode 14: Who am I? - Our Identity is Being Stolen

In this episode of Foundation with Steve Teed we look at something we may not have considered and that is the fact that our identity is being taken from us.  With society no longer being able to define simple terms suck as man and woman we are losing what makes us, us.  There are great consequences to this happening.

We start by looking at NBC airbrushing a picture of William Lia Thomas and being inconsistent in what they are saying about what is a woman.

We then head back to Disney as we see that they really do have a Not So Secret Gay Agenda that is being pushed onto the next generation.

After the break, we answer the question "Who am I?"  according to the Scripture.  We see that the two extremes that are often taught actually rob us of our identity by replacing it with Fantasy.

    PERMISSION GRANTED

    PERMISSION GRANTED

That’s why on this episode of TheFemmeCast, I wanted to speak some enthusiasm and excitement into you. I wanted to give you a high vibe rant that you can listen to, in those moments when you are holding yourself back, waiting for someone to give you permission to be yourself.

Speaking as a recovering people pleaser, the journey to letting go of the need to constantly shape and adjust ourselves according to the world around us, and allowing ourselves to become more ourselves, is not something that happens overnight. It’s a gentle unfolding that happens over time. It’s hard. It’s uncomfortable and it is a hot f*cking mess.

That’s why on this episode of TheFemmeCast, I’m going to share with you my best advice on being you, owning who you are, taking off the emotional Spanx, and showing up fully in your relationships and your life.

Journey to Love with Michael Roads

Journey to Love with Michael Roads
Love - mostly defined as feelings of attraction, commonly considered to be a fleeting emotion and aspirationally as the intense feeling of meeting our soul mate; yet Michael is telling us that Love is our being and that Love can be known when we have a healthy relationship, a loving relationship with ourselves.  In this episode Michael shares his journey to Love so that we may understand that love is more than emotional attraction, more than deep bonds of special relationships and is in fact eternal life.  While this episode doesn't set out to convince you that love is more than intense emotions the pivotal moments in Michael's life story reveal that love exists beyond human emotions, feelings of attachment and even beyond his long-term relationship.
