In this week's #YuenReads  - part of our podcast where Yuen yet again shares the books that made a difference for Yuen and inspired her deeply. These are not book reviews - she considers impact those reads had on her - this time Yuen talks about 'Think like a monk' by Jay Shetty. Yuen loved the book - find out why she finds it as a go-to manual for introspection.

    77. Horizontal Confidence

    77. Horizontal Confidence

Join me today as I share with you the difference between Horizontal and Vertical confidence.  Knowing the difference and operating from horizontal confidence is where you leverage your most authentic self and your personal truth.  I am going to share with you 2 lies that we believe that keep us from having true confidence and the one word that keeps us stuck in these lies.  As long as we are stuck in these lies we hide, play small and rob the world of the fullest expression of ourselves.  Confidence plays a critical role in whether we have the success we want or whether we don’t.

    38. Mindsets Matter

    38. Mindsets Matter

I hope you will join me today as I break down not only why mindsets matter but the specific components of brain fitness. I think we all agree that fitness is important not just physically but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually but how "fit" are we really when it comes down to these areas of self.  We know the components of physical fitness- endurance, strength, balance, flexibility, agility and most of us know how to enhance each of these physical fitness components but do we know what and/or how to enhance our brain fitness.  If not I am going to share with you the what and how of brain health.  I hope you will join me.

153 Managing Anxiety and New Things

153 Managing Anxiety and New Things

Do you get nervous before you travel (especially if it’s to a new place, or a foreign country)? I’m paddling for 14 days in Baja, and I’m nervous. How can you feel the fear or anxiety, AND walk through the discomfort to gather information so you can live a more expansive life? I talk about learning to roll in my kayak, and the fears that are coming up for me, AND the exhilaration of being able to do things that scare me.  I vacillate between excitement and feeling scared; I talk about how to navigate this.

    PODCAST HOST

Patricia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Coach.  She knows what it’s like to feel like an outcast, misfit, and truthteller.  Learning about the trait of being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), helped Patricia rewrite her history with a deeper understanding, appreciation, and a sense of self-compassion.  She created the podcast Unapologetically Sensitive to help other HSPs know that they aren’t alone, and that being an HSP has amazing gifts, and some challenges.  Patricia works online globally working individually with people, and she teaches Online Courses for HSPs that focus on understanding what it means to be an HSP, self-care, self-compassion, boundaries, perfectionism, mindfulness, communication, and creating a lifestyle that honors us

    A Question About Worry

    A Question About Worry

We often hear the phrase, "Jesus is the answer!". But what if Jesus is the question? That might change everything. Contrary to common assumptions, Jesus is not so much the Answer Man as He is the Question Man. We begin a new series of lessons, "Jesus, the Question Asker." WE are going to camp out in Matthew's Gospel and take a closer look at 6 of the key questions Jesus asked.  Today's lesson is "A Question About Worry", Matthew 6:25-34.
