    4. Nidra with Adrienne

    4. Nidra with Adrienne

Episode 4: Adrienne leads you through a Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a deep guided meditation. During the practice of yoga nidra consciousness fluctuates between the states of introversion and extroversion. It swings sometimes to the outside world through the senses while in others it slides into the sphere of sleep. Little by little consciousness tends to stabilize, but to achieve it fully requires a prolonged and systematic practice. Then, when the nidra state (the border between the alpha and theta waves) is reached, the mind becomes more receptive.

Cait Lawson — Simple Life by Choice; Gratitude for Surf & Sun, Consistency & Living Well

Cait Lawson — Simple Life by Choice; Gratitude for Surf & Sun, Consistency & Living Well

Almost 10 years ago, I knew Caitlin as a cool, surfer girl. And she still is; but what has changed is her confidence in claiming the life she wanted to create. And so she did.

Cait pursued and has created an intentional, simple life in Puerto Rico and lives her choice in gratitude. She grew up surfing from age 8; and after her 21st birthday, she was drawn to the physical practice of yoga. With a little encouragement, Cait said yes to yoga teacher training in her hometown of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and experienced yoga and surfing as a powerful partnership for her life.

Today, she shares how her choices have created her life of simplicity and health and how choosing simplicity can be just as much work to cultivate as a life of complexity.

Social media platforms, as well as the online growth through the pandemic, has expanded Cait’s perspective to teach yoga virtually.  She has created and recorded classes for both The Salty Club App/online platform, as well as for RAD Roller's Mobility App. She is currently working on creating short pre-recorded classes available on her website, sunburntandsalty.com . Cait lives with her fiance and has attracted her parents into the lifestyle of Rincon. Her love for family, simplicity, and adventure are matched with her committed practices to live healthy, move daily and embrace being a contribution where she lives in serving others.

    In this conversation you’ll hear:

    • How a simple life takes practice
    • Why consistency in anything is the only real road to fulfillment
    • Why a physical practice of yoga, surfing, and mindful movement matters
    • Why claiming gratitude every day is most important

Eoin Finn - Surfing Yogic Life Waves (#158)

The Canadian native is a globally renowned yogi, surfer and Blissologist who has been carving his original tracks through the metaphysical worlds of yoga, philosophy and movement since 1989.

Lauded by Yoga Journal as the “Thoreau of Yoga” for his eco-activism and dedication to connecting yogis more deeply to the spirituality of nature; and by Oprah as “one to watch,” Finn’s Blissology Yoga style centers on the simple idea of sharing happiness.

While rooted deeply in the therapeutic and transformative alignment and physiology of yoga, Finn’s down-to-earth, modern insights on spirituality refresh like cool water and he firmly believes that to find bliss you must “seek quiet solitude in nature.”

A passionate ocean-activist, he started the Blissology EcoKarma project in 2014 raising aid and awareness through yoga and activism for the world’s precious but imperiled coral reefs.
