    Podcast Summary

    • The impact of stimuli on mental healthOur brains form patterns from internal and external stimuli, which can significantly impact mental health. These patterns can be challenging to break but are just patterns and can be changed with conscious effort.

Our brains are complex systems that are influenced by both internal and external stimuli, and the patterns formed by these stimuli can significantly impact our mental health. The brain's response to stimuli involves hormone release and subsequent behavior, but the interesting part is that the behavior can also become a stimulus, creating a continuous loop. These patterns are formed from a young age and can be challenging to break, but they are just patterns and can be changed with conscious effort. Understanding this concept can help us become more aware of our thought processes, emotions, and actions, allowing us to make positive changes for better mental health.

    • Understanding the Link Between Emotions, Hormones, and BehaviorsRecognizing the pattern of stimulus-hormonal response-behavior can help us understand and potentially change our emotional and behavioral responses.

Our emotions and behaviors are often the result of a stimulus triggering a hormonal response. This response can lead to patterns or habits that cause anxiety or stress. It's important to recognize that these patterns are within our control, thanks to the brain's ability to change, known as neuroplasticity. In the upcoming episodes, we'll dive deeper into this concept. For now, remember that every behavior starts with a stimulus, followed by a hormonal response, and finally, the behavior itself. By understanding this, we can begin to recognize and potentially change our patterns. Your brain's capacity to change is greater than you might think, and you have the power to take control. So, keep that in mind as you go about your day. Have a great day, and remember, you've got this!
