Episode 55: How to Get Your Creativity Going to Write Copy

In this episode we talk about how to get the creative juices flowing to write awesome copy.

    Show Notes:

    • Sometimes you have to walk away from what you're doing. Give your brain space to process in the background.
    • Don't discount the value of writing down your thoughts as they come to you throughout the day.
    • It helps to get excited and feel creative using something that you're passionate about.
    • "I would take my phone, open a document, press voice record, and walk around the house and just start talking. I let my mind ramble. Stream of consciousness captures great ideas as there aren't any clear constraints."
    • Get into a creative zone by doing more research. Find one piece that is really interesting and inspires you to start writing.
    • "Trying to recreate a paragraph that I like but don't know how to say differently, and coming up with my own single paragraph of alliteration, can really get me excited. It sparks the imagination that says 'Wow, that's a really interesting way to say this!'"
    • Ask a seemingly random question and relate it to what your topic is!

Episode 53: What It Takes to Launch Part 2

Episode 53: What It Takes to Launch Part 2

In this episode we talk about guiding your audience through each stage of your launch.

    Show Notes:

    • Your sales page guides your customer from knowing that they have a problem and need a solution to seeing that your product is the solution.
    • Once they click that "buy" button, do you have something in your arsenal of products that can help them further along?
    • Give them the valuable stuff up front!
    • Keep in touch with people. Remind them why they invested their time and money into your product.
    • Follow up is important no matter what you sell. If you don't already have it in place at the time of launch, you're playing catch up.
    • "When you give targeted follow up and make it easy, continuing to onboard the customer even when they're already a customer, you're building that relationship."
    • It's most likely more than you initially thought, and that's why it really helps to work with somebody who's gone through launches before.
    • "You're sitting on a content library that you're not aware of."
    • Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is a launch.

Episdoe 52: The 30,000 FT View of a Launch Part 1

In this episode we talk about all the pieces you need to get people ready for your launch.

    Show Notes:

    • There are two paths for every launch: people who are already on your list, and people who aren't. How will you target both audiences?
    • There are three main ways to bring people into your funnel before a launch: ads, social media platforms, and email sequences.
    • You need to provide value, information, and education before you talk about sales and price points.
    • A launch requires high levels of engagement with your audience.
    • Help should be at the heart of every launch.
    • "You aren't asking for anything, just providing value. You trigger this Law of Reciprocation which is an unwritten natural law everyone falls into - I got this from somebody, I owe them something in return."
    • If you don't create high quality copy and interaction, you'll lose your audience before the point of sale.
