    • Ideal and non-existent societies: Utopia and DystopiaUtopia and Dystopia are concepts that inspire and warn us about the potential future directions of society, reflecting our capacity to shape and imagine the future.

Utopia and dystopia are concepts that have shaped human thinking about the future. Utopia, derived from the Greek "no place," represents an ideal society that doesn't exist yet. It serves as a source of inspiration for people to strive for a better world. On the other hand, dystopia, the opposite of utopia, is a vision of a future society marked by suffering, oppression, and misery. These concepts reflect the human capacity to perceive and shape the future, and they have been a driving force behind various social, technological, and cultural transformations throughout history. Ultimately, the study of utopias and dystopias invites us to reflect on our present and imagine possibilities for the future.

    • The concept of a perfect society is incoherentWhile the idea of a perfect society is desirable, it's unattainable due to inherent tensions and differing desires among people. Continuous improvement is a more realistic goal.

The idea of a perfect society is an incoherent concept due to inherent tensions and differing desires among people. The notion of utopia, a society where everyone lives in ideal conditions, is a desirable goal but unattainable. The term "apocalypse," originally meaning a revelation or unveiling, has been popularly associated with end times events leading to a negative change. However, not all religions or belief systems hold a linear time frame with an end goal. For instance, Hinduism views the universe as continually created, preserved, destroyed, and created again, emphasizing the cyclical nature of life. It's essential to remember that striving for continuous improvement in human civilization is a worthwhile endeavor, even if perfection is unreachable.

    • The universe's mysterious nature and Norse mythology, seasonal allergies relief, AI's future role, and eBay Motors' offeringsExploring the universe's potential as a bouncing cosmos, Norse mythology's intrigue, relieving seasonal allergies with Astepro, Intel's AI implementation, and eBay Motors' extensive vehicle parts selection

The nature of the universe is still a mystery, but there are logical models suggesting it could be a bouncing universe that collapses and then re-explodes. Another intriguing concept comes from Norse mythology, which can be challenging for outsiders to understand. Meanwhile, in the real world, seasonal allergies can be a challenge, but fast-acting solutions like Astepro can provide relief. In technology, artificial intelligence is expected to play a significant role in the future, and Intel is at the forefront of implementing it in various industries. Lastly, eBay Motors offers a vast selection of parts to keep your unique vehicle running smoothly.

    • The belief in a utopian future offers hope and motivationReligious and secular ideas propose positive outcomes for the future, offering hope and motivation for individuals to strive for a better world

While many religions, including Norse mythology, have apocalyptic events, they often offer a positive outcome, such as liberation or a utopian future. For instance, in Buddhism, the belief in Maitreya, the future Buddha, offers hope for a time when all human beings can achieve enlightenment and escape the cycle of suffering. This concept of a future utopia is not limited to religious frameworks, as secular and scientific or technological ideas also propose positive outcomes for the future, such as the elimination of suffering or the improvement of human existence. The idea of a utopian future, whether spiritual or material, offers a sense of hope and motivation for individuals to strive for a better world.

    • The spiritual and secular apocalypses share similar themesBoth spiritual and secular apocalypses involve concepts of utopia, salvation, destruction, and the end of the world, though secular apocalypses focus on physical scenarios and the universe's inevitable end may leave us questioning our significance.

The concepts of spiritual and secular apocalypses may not be as different as they seem. Both deal with ideas of utopia, salvation, destruction, and the end of the world. Secular apocalypses include scenarios like nuclear annihilation, global cataclysm, and the technological singularity. However, our current understanding of physics suggests that the universe will eventually reach an unsurvivable state, marked by the accelerating expansion of space and the evaporation of all matter, including black holes. This leaves us with the idea that, in the grand scheme of the universe, the human experience may be fleeting and insignificant. Ultimately, whether we believe in spiritual or secular concepts of the end, we may come to accept that the universe will continue to evolve, with or without us.

    • A world where people can find peace and happinessThroughout history, humans have imagined various utopian visions for the future, focusing on technological advancements, societal improvements, or inner peace, all with the goal of creating a better world for themselves and future generations.

Throughout history, humans have imagined various utopian visions for the future, both secular and religious. Some of these visions involve technological advancements, such as post-scarcity societies or the technological singularity, while others focus on building a better society through new political models or the ordering of ourselves and our inner selves. Regardless of the specific vision, the underlying theme is the desire to create a world where people can find peace and happiness. These ideas remind us that even if the universe may eventually come to an end, humanity has the potential to create a better world, either on earth or in alternate universes. So, whether we believe in religious eschatology or secular utopias, the future holds the possibility of a world where we can live in peace and prosperity.

    • Snagajob's hiring solutions vs Christian Rapture's beliefSnagajob offers businesses access to a large pool of qualified workers, while the Christian Rapture is a belief of being taken up to heaven before the end times.

Snagajob is a comprehensive hiring solution for businesses, offering access to a large pool of qualified workers for various positions, including on-demand, temp-to-hire, part-time, and full-time roles. With an easy-to-use platform and dedicated customer support, Snagajob aims to help businesses efficiently fill their employment needs. On a different note, the Christian rapture is a popular belief in certain Christian circles, where the faithful are believed to be taken up to heaven before the end times. This belief is depicted in various forms of media, including the novel "Left Behind" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. The idea of the rapture, where people disappear and are replaced by their belongings, has been a part of Christian eschatology for many years.

    • The Rapture: A Christian Belief of Resurrection and AscensionThe Rapture, a central belief in Christian futurism, represents the resurrection of deceased Christians and ascension of the living to meet Jesus Christ upon his return. It's a moment of liberation for believers but a challenging time for those left behind, preceded by the tribulation - a period of great suffering and hardship before final judgment.

The Rapture, a belief in the Christian eschatology, signifies the resurrection of dead Christians and the ascension of living ones to meet Jesus Christ when he returns. This event, often depicted as an apocalyptic moment, is a central belief among Christian futurists, who anticipate various biblical prophecies to be fulfilled in the future. The Rapture is seen as a moment of liberation for believers, but a challenging time for those left behind. The second coming of Christ, a significant event in Christian eschatology, is accompanied by the tribulation - a period of great suffering and hardship before the final judgment. This belief combines elements of utopia (heavenly ascension) and apocalypse (earthly suffering).

    • The idea of hardship leading to stronger faith in ChristianityBelief in tribulation and millennium in Christianity can shape daily life, with various interpretations on order and impact.

Throughout Christian theological history, the idea of hardship leading to stronger faith is a recurring theme. This concept can be traced back to the preaching of Jesus in the Bible, specifically in the books of Matthew and Revelation, where the idea of the tribulation and the millennium are discussed. The tribulation refers to a period of great suffering before the second coming of Christ, and the millennium is a utopian rule of Christ on earth for 1000 years. The exact order of these events and the role of the rapture in relation to them is a matter of debate among Christians, with various sects and individuals holding different beliefs. While some argue that these end-time beliefs have little impact on daily life, others believe that the belief in an impending utopia or apocalypse can significantly shape how one lives. This concept is not unique to religious beliefs, as secular and scientific utopian ideas have also influenced human civilization since ancient times.

    • Transhumanism: A Legacy of the European EnlightenmentTranshumanism, rooted in the European Enlightenment, aims to enhance human capabilities through technology, envisioning a future free from oppression, inequality, disease, and death.

The concept of transcending human limitations through science and technology, known as transhumanism, has deep roots in the European Enlightenment of the 1700s. Transhumanist thought shares similarities with utopian models, aiming to improve the human condition, but the means and goals vary widely. Early proponents like Benjamin Franklin, William Godwin, and Denis Diderot envisioned a future free from oppression, inequality, disease, and death. Diderot even proposed the idea of rebuilding human brains and creating intelligent machines. These ideas contributed to the formation of various social movements throughout history, each promising a better future, although not all lived up to their intended goals. Transhumanism continues to be a topic of debate, with ongoing discussions about the implications of technology on human evolution and society.

    • The similarities between eugenics and transhumanismBoth eugenics and transhumanism aim to selectively improve the human species, but eugenics harmed individuals while transhumanism enhances capabilities without harming others.

The concepts of eugenics and transhumanism, despite their differences, share some intriguing similarities. Both involve the idea of selectively improving the human species, whether through genetic manipulation or technological augmentation. However, the methods and implications of these approaches raise ethical concerns. In the case of eugenics, it required harming or excluding certain individuals based on their perceived undesirable genes. Transhumanism, on the other hand, aims to enhance human capabilities without actively harming others. The comparison between eugenics and religious ideas like the rapture also highlights the varying perspectives on utopia and apocalypse, with some concepts benefiting only a select few. Ultimately, while transhumanism may not be a religion itself, it shares some thematic parallels with religious ideas, particularly those involving the transformation or elevation of the human condition.

    AI NEWS TODAY / NANOTECHNOLOGY

The University of Texas announced what it is calling the smallest and best nanomotor ever built. Mechanical engineer Donglei Fan led a group of engineers who built a motor 500 times smaller than a grain of salt.

Measuring 1 micrometer across, the UofT nanomotor above could fit inside a human cell. Note: A “micrometer” (old term, “micron”) is one-millionth of a meter, or one 25-thousandth of an inch.

Nanopesticides designed for better crop production and disease protection could also mean more toxic algae outbreaks for nearby streams, lakes and wetlands, researchers report.

This is NOW >>> Custom order your own "nanomaterials" made from patented and well known greener synthesis methods. Excellent size distribution, emission, brightness, and purity as a result of over a decade of experience producing nanoparticles and a focus on quality.

Nanoparticles give immune cells a boost. Drugs carried in cellular "backpacks" help T cells to destroy tumors.

Tiny particles could help fight brain cancer. Nanoparticles carrying two drugs can cross the blood-brain barrier and shrink glioblastoma tumors.

    PURPOSE OF THIS TEACHING

As with the previous 4 sessions, our attempt is to both present the advantages of Artificial Intelligence, while at the same time presenting the potential EVIL resident in this very science ...
especially in the hands of EVIL people with EVIL motives.

Computer scientist Bill Joy, and many other writers, have identified cluster groups of technological advances that they esteem critical to the future of humanity. Joy warns that these advances have potential to be used by “elites” for either good or evil.

Elon Musk, who founded PayPal, SpaceX and Tesla Motors, believes without oversight, AI could be an existential threat: "We are summoning the demon."

But one of my goals is to help us look forward to the potential risk of AI and its "branches" in the End Times. You say, "Why worry ... we won't be living then." My friend, we are living—right NOW—at the "entrance" to the End Times. And, we should be concerned not only about medical or social decisions we have to make NOW or in the near future—personally or politically—but, also for our progeny. LISTEN TO THE PODCAST FOR FULL INFORMATION.

    REMEMBER

Last session we discussed Information Technology ... and HOW the Antichrist (the Beast)—the coming Global Governance Leader—will not only control, but also monitor, the global populace through Information Technology accessed and utilized by Artificial Intelligence. But ... wait until you listen to the details of this podcast concerning HOW nanotechnology can—and WILL BE—used in the EndTime by the Evil Empire of Satan and his Beast ... and the Beast's Global Leader of Religion: the False Prophet.

INTRO TO THIS SESSION (PART 5)

If you survived after Parts 1, 2,3 and 4, I have another challenge for you. Let's see if you're up to it. This session we will discuss “Nanotechnology.” Nanotechnology potentially provides the ability to order and change molecular and atomic structures.

Nanotechnology can be—and is already being—used to produce changes inside the host’s body. One nanometer is a billionth of a meter, or  10^-9 of a meter. Example: 10 to the power of minus 9 = 10-9 = 1 / 1000000000. You can now see the mobility of sub-atomic "super small" elements, chemicals, or bio-meds carried through your body cells.
In this podcast you will learn HOW nanotechnology—with its precise sub-atomic accuracy and delivery—in conjunction with biotech and artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to enhance the human condition while at the same time approaching—possibly crossing—the point of no return, especially with regard to Singularity, cyber-genetics—and even—robotics. LISTEN TO THE PODCAST FOR DETAILS!

    DID YOU KNOW

Automatic control systems—especially as regards to Artificial Intelligence (AI) via input to the human brain—Brain Machine Interfacing (BMI) and Nanotechnology will result in internal programming that will substitute for Normal Human Nature … which is concomitant with Transhumanism (= beyond human).

    ETHICAL AND MORAL QUESTIONS

We asked some questions in Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4 concerning valid bio-ethics and moral questions. Now … think about Artificial Intelligence with its usage of Nanotechnology from a human perspective. Why you need to listen to podcast.

    062. Zoltan Istvan, Michael Phillip | Are we on the Cusp of a Transhumanist Utopia?

We have absolutely no idea what the future will hold, but we’re definitely on the cusp of something huge.

Are we headed for an unprecedented utopian neo renaissance? Will technological and medical breakthroughs enable us to live practically forever so we’re free to pursue our passions all day long? Or are we on the verge of something darker? Some sort of Huxlian, Orwellian dystopia steeped in thought control, murderous AI and oligarch overlords who'll invade our minds in an effort to milk us for money and energy as we jump willingly into ultra-plush matrix pods of their design?

    Who knows?

Our guest this week, Zoltan Istvan is the author of the Transhumanist Wager. He writes for practically every major technology website (Gizmodo, Huffington Post, Motherboard Wired etc.) He’s the founder of a transhumanist political party, which aims to draw attention and dollars to science and tech. He’s also traveled around the world on a god damned sailboat.

The Wizard and the Wand: Humans vs AI - Francis Pedraza

The Wizard and the Wand: Humans vs AI - Francis Pedraza

Francis is the CEO of Invisible Technologies; a business outsourcing and automation company. On his third appearance on the Crazy Wisdom podcast, we discuss AI, the ideal society, individualism, whether or not AI will conquer humans and so much more. You can reach out to Francis via mail by francis@invisible.email, or on Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn at Francis Pedraza (@francispedraza)

(1:24 – 10:53) A quick summary of what Invisible Technologies is about, how it works, its incentives, and what it seeks to achieve, as well as a quick narrative of the company’s rocky history, how it evolved into its current form, and how it is able to offer its USP.

(11:09 – 13:05) The surreal nature of thought; how a single thought can be extremely complex and hold a world of information; why Francis thinks classifying emotions as ‘irrational’ is wrong.

(14:10 – 23:51) Why experts tend to be blind; why AI isn’t going to kill us and can never replace humanity, and why you should read Nick Bostrom’s ‘Superhuman’ with your ‘whole brain’ (i.e. Ian McGilChrist style); can we teach a computer to just be? Are AI information processing and human thinking the same process? Does AI think?

(23:53 – 28:50) Examples of the human inability to predict the future; why AI needs thinkers; a theory of what the singularity may look like, as opposed to the merging of tech and consciousness view; what is the constantly increasing connected nature of society doing to individuality?

(28:51 – 37:42) Why enlightenment isn’t the destruction of the individual; why a society that thrives is a paradox and what this looks like; why Utopia is ultimately fascism and why we should go for another idea instead- as presented by Francis; why none of our mechanisms- not the constitution, and not AI- can save us.

(37:45 – 43:34) Can a community become an individual? It is possible for a large group of people to be fully united in goals and aims? How to get a society of 500 million people to agree to a basic social contract.

(45:30 – 50:39) What an ideal society looks like in Francis’ view; why he’s anti-utopian; why progress is a tricky metric to measure; why societies should constantly readdress their ideas of progress; why technocracy is a sham, and why society shouldn’t be left in the hands of ‘experts’.

(50:58 – 1:01:11) Why enlightenment is a politicized term; why there isn’t just one ultimate enlightenment. Back to progress, why it’s a narrow concept in light of the vastness of being and the knowledge humanity as a whole has lost to time in the death of ancient civilizations. Why non-violence is the core rule of an ideal society and why this rule makes the ideal society inherently unstable. Why the fear of death is the major hindrance to building the ideal society.

(1:01:12) Why the individual is greater than society, even though society is bigger; where do ideas come from?; why immortality won’t solve the dilemma of being a human being in our vast universe; What the real aim of meditation is; why you can never fully understand existence. Alternate interpretations of old bible stories; Francis’ summary of what the ideal society is.
