Psalm 53 The beauty and richness of Jesus’ forgivness.
This is an amazing Psalm that shows us our need and foreshadows a Savior who died on Mount Zion to graciously meet it.
Teaching from Pastor Jay Cavaiani with an emphasis on revering the Word of God.
This is an amazing Psalm that shows us our need and foreshadows a Savior who died on Mount Zion to graciously meet it.
In Christ we have been set free from many Old Testament Laws. We also have been freed from the bondage of sin. Sometimes Christians use “freedom” in Christ to justify free or even sinful living. Thank God for the freedom we have been given but always seek to honor Christ in your living.
This is one of the more challenging chapters of the Bible for me to preach. Mostly in regards to remarriage. God’s desire is for one marriage for a lifetime. How do we interpret the various passages on this topic and how does God’s grace for our sin fit into this topic in comparison to other sin? Can God love us and forgive us when our actions are not his desire? I believe the answer is yes, however the goodness of His Grace should not be claimed to promote us going in a direction that is not pleasing to Him. Yet, are we not all thankful for His love and grace that covers a multitude of sin!?
In this episode it is revealed that believers are to work out things with each other on earth and that we should be able to knowing one day we will judge the earth. Secondly, we learn of God’s high standard or sexual morality.
This is an important teaching about using good judgement and when to judge behavior and when not too.
This is an important chapter in church life because with people there can and will be problems.
The solution.
In my experience, sadly, many of these God ordained steps are not followed.
Sometimes in this life evil seems to have its way but you can trust in ages and places to come God’s lovingkindness will be for those who believe and do good and justice on those who do not and live for evil.
This is truly a glorious chapter or scripture dealing with the foundation of our lives, our purpose, and a future reward.
It also deals with the Holy Spirit, flesh and more.
The Word of God is called the Word of God because it was birthed from God’s breathed spirit. When listening to preaching the focus should be on God and His Word and not man. When one sees God’s Word in reverence spiritual power your quiet time changes.
The newly found church in Corinth had the challenge of living for Jesus among a pagan city. They struggled with divisions in the body, a sinful culture around them, and a lack of maturity in the exercise of spiritual gifts.
One of the most beautiful things in life is to see a man or women continue to grow in wisdom and spriritual connection to God and then serve Him faithfully all the way to the end.
Even though God knew of their future waywardness God is going to be with them and bless them in taking the promised land. Moses the man of God prayed a special blessing upon the tribes on the presuppose of taking the land.
This is rather a sad song revealing that God knows and has revealed to Moses that Israel will be unfaithful in the promise land. God’s divine foreknowledge is remarkable. This shows his Sovereignty. How does that fit with man’s free will?
This is one of the most beautiful Psalms and chapters in all the Bible. God can forgive you of all you have ever done, create in you a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit in you.
Were all going to die. While we are here there is the human tendency to be a wandering sheep. God knows our tendency and warned Israel against it. It is incredible that at this stage they only had one copy of the Word and it had to be stored in the Tabernacle and brought out to be read without electronic projection. Today, not only do we have the New Covenant but we also have the written Word and the Word available to us on our phones, computer and on podcasts, study Bibles and commentaries. We have an incredible advantage today compared to Old Covenant times. May we follow Jesus all the way to the end.
This is an important teaching that reveals the past and future history of Israel and how before all of us is life or death. Choose life!
Praise God for His grace through Jesus when we fall short! However, in honor of that gift of grace may we be diligent in pursuing holiness.
This is an incredibly important chapter and teaching. Don’t give up, listen to the end. The curse is awful but there is good news!
I am thankful that God has made clear to us what is good and right and what it evil and not.
He does this for our good. We need to in our churches be clear where God is clear.
God desires that we would remember how he has blessed us both in our lives and how he has blessed his people throughout history. One of the ways we are to honor Him and show our appreciation to Him is through our giving and generosity. Our giving and generosity is first and foremost about our devotion to God.
