From creation, God has appointed men to be strong, good, Godly leaders of their wives, their families, and the church. The first sin committed was a result of Adam not asserting that role and instead, being passive. We saw it with Abraham and Jacob as well. And Aaron was no better in the narrative of the golden calf in Exodus 32. Throughout Scripture and up to today, we see the sometimes deadly effects passive men can have on their wives, families, the church, and society!

All of the foundational truths found in the Book of Genesis are crucial for us to understand, but none are more crucial than the foundational truths found in chapter 3. Chapter 3 of Genesis is where it all went wrong. It's where God's good and perfect creation was left reeling by sin.  Adam and Eve's life was absolutely perfect. Why couldn't they obey the one and only rule they were given by God? Why did God allow them to be tempted? Why did God banish Satan to the same planet where He created man knowing what the result of that would be? How is what happened in the Garden of Eden over 6,000 years ago still affecting us today?

Probably the most fought against doctrine is the doctrine of election. But this doctrine is not just about whether we have the freedom to choose Jesus or not. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture clearly shows us that before the Holy Spirit regenerates our hearts and brings us to a saving faith in Jesus, we have no freedom at all! We are in complete bondage to Satan!

Without God, we are completely helpless and can do nothing of any eternal value. We need God to open our minds to understanding His Word, and open our hearts to receive the saving work of Jesus and so the Holy Spirit can indwell in us. But while God does all of the heavy lifting, that doesn't mean that we don't have a part to play in our sanctification. We have a big part!

We only need look around to see evils like the LGBQT agenda, worshipping the earth, the radical climate change agenda, declaring the Bible is not divinely inspired and therefore is not inerrant or authoritative. We would expect to see these evils happening in the secular world - but they have infiltrated the church, and they are wreaking havoc on the House of God! But, sadly, this is nothing new. Did you know that evangelizing the Gospel is not something new in the New Testament? God used prophets beginning all the way back with Moses to preach the good news of salvation that can only come from God. In this episode, we look at God commanding Jeremiah to preach the Gospel to the people of Judah and attach the acronym R.E.A.C.H. to remind us of all of the reasons God commands us to be a part of bringing people to salvation even though He is completely responsible for someone coming to salvation.
