In this week's episode we talk about the droves of subscribers leaving the once all-mighty Netflix and we question our credibility as so-called cinephiles and pop culture podcast hosts. The release of Nic Cage's new film, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, has us talking about some of our most favourite and least favourite films from this enigmatic actor, and we finish it all off with a fictional retelling of the life and times of Elisabeth Shue, using some of the characters she has played in a new segment, Unauthorized Lie-ograghy.

A girl babysits some kids after getting stood up by her douchebag boyfriend.  Her idiot friend Brenda freaks out and runs away to the bus station where she tries to get some weiner.  The babysitter attempts to rescue her friend but is thwarted by a hook man, Loony Toons James Cagney, and Thor himself.  Tara J has some strong feelings about Brenda.  Adam doesn't understand Elizabeth Shue's face.

While this film deals with trauma and dark themes I was anxious to get Jai's opinion as a first time viewer. We talk the a lot about the production, adaption to the screen from the novel, and the incredible acting throughout.

When there's someone strange, in your neighborhood? Who you gonna call? WeGaugeCage!...I ain't afraid of Nic Cage!*

You guys...singing Taking Back Sunday is hard. Okay? Okay?!? It took us five takes. We're just two guys!
So...if you can make it through the first three minutes of this one, then you'll find out that...it happened again. Your boys (and mine) met up together in person in Arizona, fresh off of watching Nic Cage's drunken 1995 romp "Leaving Las Vegas," and they decided to record a podcast about it. 

H-h-holy buckets, folks. To be honest, who even knows what the rest of this episode entails? We're PRETTY sure we talked about the movie. But it started with a little harmless bottle of tequila, a few dad jokes, and it ended with Brian passing out early and Brock making drunk dials to Amanda Flannery-Hoppa and throwing up multiple times the next day. 
You do the math!
