107: Breaking the Fear Loop: Unlocking True Success

107: Breaking the Fear Loop: Unlocking True Success

Welcome to today's episode, where we dive deep into the mechanics of the fear and love loop, and uncover the real reason behind our cyclical patterns of behavior. Why do we keep repeating the same actions day after day, even when we're yearning for change, craving success, and dreaming of a different life? The answer lies in the powerful grip of FEAR.

It's a word we hear often, accompanied by terms like 'self-sabotage' and 'limiting beliefs'. We're aware these are the culprits slowing our progress, yet we find ourselves caught in a cycle of impatience and irritation, far removed from the life we aspire to live. The truth is, despite knowing better, we don't act on our knowledge. We understand the steps necessary for transformation – shifting out of fear loops, exercising consistently, eating mindfully, prioritizing sleep – but there's a disconnect between knowing and doing.

Why? Because our brains are hardwired not for success, but for survival. The fear that holds us back is the same fear that our brains believe keeps us safe. In this episode, we explore the innate conflict between our desire for success and our brain's priority for survival. We'll discuss practical strategies for managing your brain, confronting fear, and finally breaking free from the patterns that hold you back.

Join us as we reveal how to step out of the fear loop and into a life of intentional success. It's not just about knowing what to do; it's about retraining your brain to align with your knowing. If you're ready to challenge your brain's survival bias and embrace the success you deserve, this episode is for you. Let's embark on this journey together, towards a life defined not by fear, but by love and intention.

106: Uncluttering Actions: Aligning Behavior with Dreams

106: Uncluttering Actions: Aligning Behavior with Dreams

Join us to today for an enlightening journey where we explore the often overlooked aspect of personal growth - mismanaged action, or as we like to call it, behavioral clutter. In this podcast, we delve deep into understanding how our actions, consciously or unconsciously, can become cluttered by fears, leading us away from our true goals, dreams, and what we consider our life's assignment.

It's a common human trait to notice and judge the actions of others that annoy us, but have you ever stopped to wonder what these judgments reveal about ourselves? These irritations can be illuminating, acting as mirrors reflecting back on areas within us that need attention and transformation. This podcast serves as a starting point for that introspection, guiding you to recognize where you might be mismanaging your actions and how to begin clearing out that behavioral clutter.

We'll explore the shift from fear to love, examining how fear-based actions differ vastly from those grounded in love and truth. We're not just discussing theory; we're providing practical insights and tools to help you understand why we often fail to do what we know is right for us. This fear loop, created unconsciously, can be a significant barrier to living authentically. But, by bringing awareness to these patterns and actively choosing to shift out of fear, we can start to align our actions with who we truly believe we are, rather than simply following what we think we should do.

Join us as we dig into the reasons behind our behaviors and discover how to realign our actions with our deepest values and aspirations. Whether it's in your personal life, your career, or your relationships, understanding and clearing behavioral clutter is key to achieving harmony and fulfillment. Let's embark on this journey of transformation together, shifting our actions to manifest the life we dream of.

EP 47: Pain from my past that surfaced recently

EP 47: Pain from my past that surfaced recently

This week I bring you behind the scenes of what I have recently moved though in my own healing and growth

You’ll often hear me say … “Healing and growth is not a tick box or a course that is completed with a certificate you hang on the wall.  It’s a lifestyle choice, it’s a way of being”

In this episode (easily the most vulnerable one I’ve ever recorded) you’re invited into a greater understanding of what that means

    You’ll hear me vulnerably share:

    • The emotional and energetic piece that showed up and asked for my attention

    • How I recognised this within my body

    • The link to a past relationship of emotional abuse

    • Where my ego tried to “keep me safe” and stop me from exploring the unknown

    • How I tuned into my intuition and higher self

    • What I found when I showed up fully and decided to understand the fear

The Power of Sharing: Exploring Fear, Vulnerability and Oversharing in Relationships

The Power of Sharing: Exploring Fear, Vulnerability and Oversharing in Relationships

When I walked away from my first marriage, that began at the tender age of 19, I had no idea how deeply my experiences of domestic violence would impact my life. This episode is a raw and authentic exploration of fear, vulnerability and oversharing in relationships, where I courageously share my personal journey and the challenges, I faced discussing my experiences. We dive deep into the strain such conversations can put on relationships, and how we can unwittingly become trapped in a cycle of oversharing out of fear of not being understood or taken seriously. But there's hope and potential for healing and helping others who might be in similar situations.

We are not alone in this journey. Rashawn offers his unique perspective on how his upbringing as an only child affected his ability to express himself. His story provides insight into navigating personal stories and the fear of not being heard. Together, we explore the intricate dance between trust and vulnerability, particularly the difficulty of rebuilding trust once it's broken. We touch upon how our truth can impact others in our lives, and the complexities of accepting responsibility for our actions.

Wrapping up this deeply personal episode, we underscore the importance of establishing a supportive environment and seeking professional help. We remind you that failure is a part of life, and there's strength in vulnerability. We invite you to join us on this journey of growth and discovery, to reflect, learn, and remember that you're not alone. It's an emotional roller-coaster ride that promises rich insights and life-changing revelations.

Take away a lot, take away a little...just take away something.

If you're an aspiring author, you'll appreciate the practical advice David shares. The conversation doesn't stop at writing; we also talk about book reviews, their importance, and where they can make the most impact.

Finally, we discuss David's exciting upcoming book and the lessons he's carrying forward from his debut publication. David lives in Connecticut with his loving wife, Laura, and their beautiful daughter, Grace.
A Desk To Lean On is his first children's book.

We Aren't Called to Be Enough!
Do you ever feel like you're never enough?

Join us, along with our special guest, award-winning author, and inspirational speaker, Erica Wiggenhorn-for an insightful exploration into the life of Moses as he poses the question to God, "Who Am I?"

Like many of us, Moses wrestled with fear and felt inadequate to fulfill the task set before him.

Spoiler alert: he wasn't enough - and neither are we!

We wouldn't need the Savior if we were enough and could do it all ourselves. Instead, we discover how to overcome our anxieties and receive help and hope in the only One who is always enough - the Great I AM, our heavenly Father, who can do all things.

Likewise, Erica reminds us that God sees our afflictions, hears our cries, and is at work behind the scenes. Just as He listened to the cries of the Israelites and came down to deliver them--He will come down to deliver us.

Welcome to 15 minute free thinking. My name is Carpo,  and my podcasts are  intended to serve as a learning tool for myself and others, as well as a bridge for communication between a society I see as having more potential than we are allowing ourselves to use. We are all just people, living as best we can, and I feel good dialogue can really help us lead better lives.

If you are interested in joining the discussion, visit me on Youtube, discord, or patreon, of which I will have more information about at the end of the podcast.

I appreciate you taking the time to listen, wherever you may be, and I hope you enjoy the show.

Many of these ideas are merely my own opinions. Any mention of substance use or my experiences should not be taken as advice, as what works for me may not work for you. Each of us is unique. I'm just some dude on the internet. But I am a dude that cares about the Truth. And I can admit when I do not know, and more importantly, when I am wrong.

I am just here learning like the rest of you all and want to share my experiences.

I try to stick to the facts where possible, but that is not always easy when we speak of complex matters, so I may make mistakes, but always try my best to present accurate, honest information to the best of my ability.

That said a lot of it may be conjecture and my own opinion.... and as I learn, I adjust my list of facts, so feel free to point out wherever I may be lacking, or have the wrong information.

So with that out of the way, let's get into it.

Strap in as we bring you face-to-face with the delightful and talented Glenda Tinsley, who turned her daughters' fear of having their own bedrooms into the charming tale, Periwinkle's Magic. Glenda's creative process becomes as magical as the story she weaves, providing lessons for parents and children alike.

Have you ever thought about the monumental journey of a book coming to life? Together with Glenda, we unravel the intricate threads of the publishing world. We'll guide you through the highs of holding your first published book and how to celebrate this milestone, and even the practicalities of registering with the Library of Congress.

But, it's not all about the technicalities. At the heart of writing are the writers themselves. In a world that often overwhelms with self-doubt and internal criticism, we shed light on the importance of self-compassion and gratitude. We seek wisdom from Glenda on handling the emotional rollercoaster that is being an author and talk about how platforms like Shut Up and Write could be the fuel to your writing dreams. Join us, as we uncover the magic not just in Glenda's book but the magical journey of writing itself.

Children’s Author, Writer, Improv Artist, Glenda Tinsley

As a child Glenda felt shy. Looking out her window to neighbors and passerby, she would make up stories about them. Hiding a flashlight under her bed for emergencies, Glenda used it to read her favorite books, sitting up in bed with the blankets pulled over her head, she pretended to be in a tent. Her first book, part of a series, "Periwinkle's Magic", is inspired by a bedtime story she created -about adventures with Periwinkle, a magical gnome, and Mac the McCaw, a parrot-that she would tell her daughters. Her oldest daughter; Emily, would add little tidbits to the stories.Giggling with Glenda, her kids and grandkids laughed out loud whenever she shared these stories. Glenda's message is a reminder to children that using imagination throughout reading helps you get through things, enjoy life, and believe that anything is possible.Ms. Tinsley lives in Sacramento, with her husband, near green-belt areas and a lake-with ducks, fish, frogs, geese and turtles.

    72. Wants & Delays

    72. Wants & Delays

Join me for this 2 part conversation on Wants & Delays.  I don’t think we think enough about either of these topics and it stunts our growth, our happiness and our sense of aliveness.  That is the question of WANTS and the ownership of DELAYS.  When was the last time you thought about what it is that you want.  When did you stop wanting?  When did you stop thinking about and imagining your future?  What are you delaying? Do you know why you delay?  I think knowing why it is that we have stopped wanting and why it is that we delay these wants is imperative to living and feeling our life again.  I will break down why I think we have stopped wanting and walk through the concept of “New Firsts”.  I am also going to share with you 4 reasons why we delay.  I think like with anything the why is the gateway to a new level of consciousness, new possibilities, new choice. If you feel like there is something more in your life, something better don't miss this one!

My hope is that we are creating a community by way of this podcast.  My goal is to teach this work to ONE MILLION people. Maybe you could help me. Who do you want to do this life with? Maybe you click the 3 dots, copy the link and send this to them. The ripple effect that this work has is transformational and it all starts with you. Thank you for being here.
