    Jane Thurnell-Read was never a fan of sports in school and was reluctant even to try the gym. However, in her early sixties, she finally gave in to her cycling friend and gave it a go. To her surprise, Jane found that she loved going to the gym and found her own "gym family." Now in her seventies, Jane's strength and independence continue to grow despite adversity. She credits strength training with helping her stay strong and build a healthier lifestyle.

    You are FED UP and you just HAVE to do something different. You want to get active, to exercise, to take better care of yourself. You are decided. EXCEPT, you need new tennis shoes, or you are headed out of town, or it's raining today. You are determined, but you convince yourself that starting "later" is better.

    Did you know that globally, there are between 2500 and 4000 marathons each year with approximately 11 million marathon runners? 

    Interestingly, 52% and 55% of marathon entrants are first-time marathon runners.

    It had always been on my bucket list to run a marathon to stretch myself, so I thought there was no better time than this moment. Time never stands still, so jump in daily like it was your late opportunity. A motto I try to live by every day.
