The goal of this morning’s message is not to make you lose faith and hope in the awesomeness of God and His extraordinary blessings but to keep you from being deceived by Satan.

I calculated my blessings in dollars and cents, trips, luxuries and how quickly my desires were being met, and how accessible the this I wanted was.

But those so-called blessings as I so proudly labeled them were coming to me outside of the will the God. What I was calling blessings, were distractions, web entanglements Satan has designed to keep me out of the will of God for my life.

THINGS will always pass.

This too SHALL PASS.

Don’t you LOVE it when we are at out PEAK
* In our jobs and it all seems together
* With exercise and we feel at our prime
* With business and things are comfortable
* With whatever it is; you know the feeling
* WE HAVE ALL HAD IT.

BUT THIS WILL PASS.

It will pass into DEEP VALLEYS of:
* Things not going to plan
* Struggle’s here and there
* Unexpected twists and turns
* Cannot Catch a break
* It all feeling too hard

Where did this tradition begin? Maybe it’s true or maybe it isn’t, but as the story goes the ancient Greeks in the time of Zeus brought round-shaped cakes adorned with lit candles when they visited the temple of Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and the moon. The Romans called her Diana. As you can imagine, the lit candles made the round cakes glow like the moon. Others believe that the smoke from the candles carries the wishes and prayers heavenward where they will be granted - in time - although not always in the form they were expected.  

When it’s your birthday light the candles, make a wish and believe it will come true for you. Birthday wishes are like that! Guaranteed!

College? Career? Confused? These are normally what students face during highschool, especially having the pressure on making your parents proud and being successful in what you do. In today’s episode, Daniel Ruiz joins the slackers in discussing his journey pre- and post-highschool in choosing what university to go for and what degree to major in. Being a selfish and careless person that he was back in highschool, he was not really focused on his studies which got to the point where he was taking education for granted. As time goes on however, he realized that nothing in life comes easy and thus, his ultimate goal in life so far is to give back to his parents one day and make his parents proud of all the achievements he has yet to achieve.
