Unsere Gesellschaft stellt hohe Erwartungen an Kinder: Sie sollen hochintelligent, sozialkompetent, sportlich und am besten auch künstlerisch begabt sein. Das erzeugt Druck. Bei den Schüler*Innen, deren Eltern, aber auch bei den Lehrkräften. Für Pädagog*Innen oder solche, die es werden wollen, bedeutet das eine Mammut-Aufgabe mehr, die sie in ihrer ohnehin anspruchsvollen Rolle übernehmen sollen. Die Folge: Der Job wird uninteressanter, der Mangel an Lehrkräften verschärft sich. Wie würde eine Welt ohne ausreichende Gesundheitsversorgung, Finanzverwaltung, öffentliche und soziale Sicherung aussehen? Chaotische Zustände. Oder übernimmt diese Aufgaben zukünftig ohnehin die künstliche Intelligenz? Noch chaotischer! Es muss etwas geschehen. Was müsste passieren, damit der Staatsdienst als Arbeitsplatz wieder interessanter wird? Und welche Organisationen gehen hier schon mit gutem Beispiel voran? Der öffentliche Dienst bietet in der Regel üppigere Benefits als Unternehmen aus der Privatwirtschaft. Sinnstiftende Aufgaben bietet er auch. Ein großes Manko: die Bürokratie, starre Hierarchien und eine eher innovationsfeindliche Kultur. In dieser Folge diskutieren Jörg Schleburg und Dr. Simon Mamerow die Stärken und Schwächen des öffentlichen Dienstes und darüber, wie sich dieser Sektor besser positionieren kann.
