June 19, 2023 - On this episode of The Omnibus Show, Dr. Terry Gibbs discusses OB/GYN matters from his practice and from the podcast he hosts - Sex Ed for Sex Med.

Dr. Gibbs is an Obstetrician Gynecologist in the Toledo, OH area with 35 years of practice in the medical field. He did his undergraduate education at Indiana University, and he obtained a master's degree in Medical Genetics at Indiana University. He graduated from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983. Dr. Gibbs has been affiliated with ProMedica Toledo Hospital and ProMedica Flower Hospital; and, more recently, ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital.

He is the host of the podcast – Sex Ed for Sex Med. Dr. Gibbs started the premiere episode of Sex Ed for Sex Med in June of 2022 with international expert Dr. Sheryl Kingsberg discussing the need for sexual education with patients.

He has worked as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Toledo college of Medicine and Life Sciences, is an active member in the North American Menopause Society and the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health. He is a director with The Ohio Sexual Health Collaborative, which is a multi-disciplinary membership organization of sexual health providers in Ohio who are dedicated to the comprehensive and collaborative advancement of sexual health for women. The collaborative underwrites the podcast.

- Sexual health during pregnancy and postpartum
- Impact of menopause

Dr. Gibbs is married with 3 children and 4 grandchildren. He is also the brother of the host.

June 12, 2023 – Today’s episode of The Omnibus Show will feature artist Anna Afshar.

Afshar was influenced by the trips to galleries, symphony hall, and theaters she visited as a child growing up in Lithuania and Russia. She became a chemist, but discovered years later that she was an artist at heart when she picked up the paints her son left behind on a table. Afshar went on to study with well-known and recognized artists and teachers from around the world.

She is a signature member of the Watercolor Society of Indiana, Hoosier Salon and Indiana Artist Club.

Afshar has won several competitions, including "Best of Show" at the Watercolor Society of Indiana 2015 Annual Juried Exhibit at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and she received the Hoosier Women Artist honor from Indiana Arts Commission and the Lt. Governor of Indiana. She has had paintings commissioned for many private collections. She also teaches and enjoys sharing her passion for art.

Afshar admires paintings that are spontaneous and free and paints to fulfill her passion for the world around her. She tells stories through her paintings and feels there is no limit to inspiration. She divides her time between homes in Indiana and in Stuttgart.

When she travels, she frequents museums for inspiration and to learn from painting masters. Even a walk in her own neighborhood can jumpstart her imagination for what to paint next. Many of her works are plein air, meaning that they are painted outdoors.

Monday, May 22 - Today’s episode of The Omnibus Show will feature rookie IndyCar driver Benjamin Pedersen.

In this year's Indy 500 qualifications, Pedersen clocked the second fastest lap time for a rookie driver in Indy 500 history. His first lap was 233.297 mph. His average qualifying time was 232.739 mph (Number one was Tony Stewart at 237.336 in 1996).  This time placed Pedersen in the number 11 pole position.

Pedersen joins the A.J. Foyt racing team this year in his first year in the NTT IndyCar Series. Pedersen is not new to racing. He started his career in professional driving in 2016. He drove for the Leading Edge Grand Prix with Global Racing Group, and continued in this league for the next two years.

In 2019, Pedersen drove in both the F3 Americas and BRDC F3 championships (European racing). In 2020, his entire season was spent driving for Double R Racing in the BRDC British F3 Championship.

In 2021 and 2022, Pedersen switched to driving for Global Racing Group and raced in the Indy Lights series. He earned his first victory with INDY NXT by Firestone in 2022 – a stepping stone to IndyCar Racing.

Pedersen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, but moved to Seattle at age 4. He still considers Seattle to be his American hometown and is a fan of the Seahawks. In addition to race cars, he enjoys golf, skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, and many other action-driven activities.

May 15, 2023 - This episode of The Omnibus Show will feature organizers of the inaugural Carmel Jazz Fest, Blair Clark and Ashley Ulbricht.

Carmel Jazz Fest will welcome Jazz, Blues, and R&B artists from around the nation on August 11 and 12, performing in venues all around Carmel. Spyro Gyra is the headliner with other famed acts such as Evelyn Champagne King and 2014 ‘The Voice’ winner, Josh Kaufman – in total over 30 acts. There are 8 ‘official’ venues along with many ‘pop-ups’ around Carmel. Venues include The Palladium, The Tarkington Theater, Feinstein’s at The Hotel Carmichael, the Midtown Stage, and the Carmel Gazebo. 

Blair Clark is the Founder, Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Carmel Jazz Festival. Take a little pop, throw in some R&B, mix it with some soul, and add a touch of jazz and the result is the electrifying sound of Blair Clark. Clark has captivated audiences throughout Europe, Canada, and all over the U.S. He has worked with Grammy award-winner/producer Narada Michael Walden, BMI ® award-winner Preston Glass, and New Orleans jazz legend, Henry Butler, to name a few. He’s enjoyed collaborating and recording with Evelyn “Champagne” King and Ron Tyson of The Temptations.

A producer, Clark has created and worked in studios in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Indianapolis. Clark’s lifetime passion for music and education inspired him to create the Carmel Jazz Fest. Performing at the festival, Clark will play some original music as well as performing a song co-written by Preston Glass and the late Al Jarreau that was never previously released.

Ashley Ulbricht is the Carmel Jazz Fest board president. Ulbricht is an attorney for Taft in Indianapolis. She came to know Blair Clark when he gave her voice lessons.

Ashley focuses her municipal practice in litigation with a concentration on redevelopment, real estate, utility and telecommunications, zoning and planning, land use, music and movie licensing, and employment law. Prior to joining Taft, Ashley served as City Attorney for the City of Carmel and General Counsel to the Carmel Redevelopment Commission. She began her legal career serving as a deputy prosecuting attorney.

Ulbricht will be performing and showcasing her electronic violin skills at the festival. She and Clark are excited to incorporate their love of music in bringing this festival to Carmel.

May 8, 2023 - This episode of The Omnibus Show will feature Sam Arce, real estate broker and educator and producer of musicals and film.

Arce has been in residential real estate since 1985, has lived in Indiana
since 1991, and has been a resident of Carmel since 1998. Arce is a licensed
real estate broker with F.C. Tucker and has been an instructor at the Tucker
School of Real Estate since 2007. He has always had a passion for live theatre. In fact, he performed semiprofessionally while in high school and college, and his love and passion for the arts continues to this day. Since 2018, he has invested in professional Broadway productions under his own company called "Broadway Sam Theatrical Productions"; and is part of a four-person producing team.

Arce is currently involved in several projects. He is co-producing Bonnie & Clyde, a musical, in West End, London, as well as co-producing Mandela,
based on Nelson Mandela, also a musical. He worked on Young Vic in
London from November 2022, to February of this year. Another big project for Arce is SuperYou. This musical is in developmental production at the Skylight Music Theatre in Milwaukee, WI. May 1, 2023 - This episode of The Omnibus Show will feature Marissa Andretti, Vice President of Andretti Autosport.

Andretti is the daughter of Indy Racing’s Michael Andretti (Grandfather is Mario, and brother is Marco – also very familiar figures here in Central Indiana during the month of May).
 
She grew up around the sport, spending time and learning from her second family – a racing team. Andretti officially joined the family business in 2015 as a Client Relations Representative in Andretti Autosport’s INDYCAR program.

With an interest in racing operations, Andretti assists in project management for the team’s branding-related operations whilst also serving as a Vice President within Andretti Autosport, overseeing the team’s philanthropic initiatives via The Michael Andretti Foundation.
 
Additionally, She has taken on the role of Managing Director for Andretti Technologies [ATEC], where she assists in developing strategy and project fruition, centralizing departments across the team.

Andretti Global, the parent company of Andretti Autosport, broke ground on its new 575,000-square-foot global racing and technology headquarters in December of last year. Marissa was part of the groundbreaking ceremony, along with Mario and Michael Andretti. The state-of-the-art facility is set to open in 2025 and will add up to 500 jobs to the local community by early 2026. Cutting-edge technology will be used to optimize the performance of the campus and to create an environment that encourages the best from employees.
 
The new facility will serve as the headquarters of day-to-day operations for Andretti’s current NTT INDYCAR SERIES, INDY NXT (formerly Indy Lights) and IMSA programs, global commercial functions of Andretti Formula E and Andretti Extreme E and the advanced research and development business of Andretti Technologies.

This episode of The Omnibus Show features Eric Nevins, the host of the Halfway There podcast and founder of the Christian Podcasters Association.

As founder of the Christian Podcaster’s Association, Nevins’ goal has been helping Christians succeed in making solid podcasts and aiding them with resources. It teaches podcasters how to reach more people with their message, connect with
like-minded podcasters committed to the Gospel and personal growth, and find the accountability and expertise they need to keep growing.

After years of working in the financial industry, Nevins launched his podcast, Halfway There, to tell the whole story about the spiritual journey. This is the premiere episode of The Omnibus Show with Gwendolyn Rogers, owner of The Cake Bake Shop. 

Gwendolyn Rogers is the first guest on the Omnibus Show. She is the owner of Cake Bake with two locations in Indiana, one in Broad Ripple and the other in Carmel, with a third coming to The Boardwalk at Walt Disney World in 2023.

Gwendolyn made the most of a life that started out rough. Baking became
her solace. As she moved across the United States, married and started a
family, she decided to take something she loved and turn it into a business.
She started in her home once her family moved to Indiana. She then grew it
into a successful business that has been featured in Food Network’s Guilty
Pleasures and ‘O, The Oprah Magazine’s Favorite Things list for 2019,
among other recognition and honors.

The lesson Gibbs hopes listeners will learn from Rogers - other that where
to have a fantastic experience while sharing an elegant meal and dessert
with friends and family - is her advice for entrepreneurs. She is a house
mom who made a business happen. Rogers left no room for failure. Her
‘keep at it’ mentality has led to great success.

Rogers is playing to win – much like Gibbs is with this Podcast. Although this is Gibbs’ first Podcast, he feels it has brought him full circle. His father was in television. Gibbs began his career in photography and journalism and has interviewed hundreds of people. Eventually, he went into business, but never forgot his joy of learning
about people and topics.
