    Paul's Main Concern - Doctrine | Ep. 115

    Paul's Main Concern - Doctrine | Ep. 115

Why did Paul emphasize the importance of sound doctrine, godly living, and efficient leadership in the Church? This podcast episode is designed to take you on a journey through Paul's last letters to his spiritual sons, Timothy and Titus. We'll explore the profound wisdom and spiritual counsel these letters offer, focusing on the essence and relevance of their teachings even in today's world.

We begin our exploration with Paul's letters as he shares timeless teachings about the significance of truth, the importance of ministering from a pure heart, and the dangers of unsound doctrine. We unpack Paul's emphasis on the selection of elders who are well-versed in doctrine and his reminders to acknowledge their efforts in serving the Lord and the members of His body. Furthermore, we shed light on the significance of Paul's ‘faithful sayings’ and how these can be applied in everyday life.

Toward the end of the episode, we delve into the standards and qualifications Paul highlights for bishops, deacons, and the importance of order in the church. Also, we highlight Paul's guidance for all sectors of society - men, women, mothers, fathers, widows, servants, and even the rich. As we conclude this episode, we reflect on how Paul's letters serve as an enduring reminder of the strength of faith and the relevance of maintaining sound doctrine.

    Refuting the Palatable Gospel

    Refuting the Palatable Gospel

Some churches today are preaching a false gospel of comfort and void of truth.  However, the gospel that was spoken of by Christ in the bible can be offensive to those who are lost and unsaved.  What does it mean to be "saved" anyway?  How can you tell that someone else is truly "saved"?  Find out in this episode of the Undergrace podcast!

God's Gentleness With the Most Notorious Sinner

    Lent Week 4
Listen to Trevor Jones' sermon: God's Gentleness With the Most Notorious Sinner

This week Trevor takes a brief look at the story of Paul the apostle. Known as the most notorious persecutor of the first believers, making many of them the first martyrs. Yet, Paul comes to know God's love, mercy, and faithfulness.

We look at how Paul expresses and enjoys the gentleness of Jesus.
What is Paul's story? How does it relate to our own story?

In the story of Jesus, we aren't called to each be the same person... rather we are invited to allow Jesus to walk with us in the story of our own lives. Just as we are all unique, our uniqueness doesn't go away as we let Jesus walk together with us in our story.
We can each experience his love, mercy, and faithfulness throughout our journey.

Original Sin and Adams Guilt - Romans 5:12-19

Original Sin and Adams Guilt - Romans 5:12-19

Are we born sinners?  Are we born with guilt before God?  Do we really have a sinful nature?  These are questions that the Church has had traditional answers to for centuries, but have we got it wrong?  Tradition will tell you that we sinned with Adam in the Garden of Eden and therefore we incur guilt before God.   After a careful study of Romans 5, I think it is safe to say that tradition might have got it wrong...

Is Faith Enough? - Romans 4:1-15 - Scripture Study

Is Faith Enough? - Romans 4:1-15 - Scripture Study

The house churches in Rome found themselves in an interesting situation.  The Gentiles lived one way while the Jews lived another.  Their disagreements give Paul no choice but to address these issues.  How should we handle disagreements within our Jesus communities?  Who's theology is correct? Most importantly, Is Faith Enough?

Exodus 13-14 Crossing The Red Sea

Today we will be covering the spectacular narrative of the Red Sea crossing, as God kept His protective hand upon the Israelites, despite the efforts by the Pharaoh to overtake them. What lessons can we learn from the great faith of Moses that was demonstrated when he saw the chariots of the Egyptians coming towards them? How does this correlate with other passages throughout Scripture? These details and many more will be covered in this week's Bible teaching. As always there will also be many life applications for us to learn along the way! Praying that you are blessed by today's Bible study!
