    Untangle Dirty Pain

    Untangle Dirty Pain

In this episode, we are going to talk about dirty pain and clean pain.

Dirty pain comingles with shame, ensnaring us into the chaotic waters of shoulding, self-hating, judging.

This pain collapses our Stabilizing Floor of Ok-ness, hunching our spines and carving out our heart caves in ways that exile courage.

Shame pain drains our creative resources.

On the other hand, clean pain is more interested in discovering the roots of what matters to us deeply—the intimate desires of not wanting to live small, under-earn, or hide anymore.

Clean pain activates urgency to make the necessary changes to alleviate suffering.

Without reaching into this pain, we keep ourselves lukewarm, comfortable, unavailable to change.

    Covid-19

    Covid-19

What is your relationship with the virus COVID-19?

In this episode, I am going to discuss threat responses with our Covid-19 relationship.

All our bodies have a relationship with Covid-19.  For some people, it sparks outrage, others terror.

Whatever the case, it is critical to see how your relationship is impacting your life and organizing either resourceful or unhelpful behaviors.

Many of my clients have trauma bonded with Covid-19. As things start to reopen, the chaos of fear is creating barriers to move forward in healthy ways.

For others, it has sparked outrage, similar to BLM, whereas the government's response to COVID-19 is a system to be dismantled.

My job is not to take sides but to hold the middle space for inquiry, integration, and adaptability.

Many people are over-reaching rigid certainty which has them feel short term powerful but also powerlessness.

I refer to this system as an authoritarian and victim paradigm structure.

No one gets well in this system.

Everyone is trying to wake up the side that is sleeping, but NO ONE in this system is available for learning or awakened.

This system is the most chaotic. It organizes internal overreach and recreates victimization.

An integrated, growth paradigm structure is the optimal structure for health and well-being.

    • How our limited capacities with connection leads us into disorganization.
    • The system organizing our horrible results will not be the system which transforms them.
    • Reorganizing system capacity versus changing our thoughts creates transforming results.
