My Spirit Guide's Message About the Importance of Connection

My Spirit Guide's Message About the Importance of Connection

In this week’s episode, I share a channeled message from a spirit guide I met in meditation during my course at Arthur Findlay College in England last year. Since my trip, we are still getting acquainted. As I sat in meditation to prepare for this episode, I asked my guides who would like to come forward to share a message with you. I was pleased when he stepped forward with a smile. His 3-part message is about healing, connection, and that we are not alone.

There are several messages within this message. I recommend listening to it several times to take it all in. I certainly did! This way is often best when we hear and read channeled work. It allows the mind to open up, consider, and receive spiritual information.

Stay tuned next week for a wonderful conversation with Renee Baribeau, The Practical Shaman! She is the author of Winds of Spirit: Ancient Wisdom Tools for Navigating Relationships, Health, and the Divine and the co-host of The Shamans Cave with Sandra Ingerman. Tina Moody introduced me to this magical podcast, and I've loved every episode since! Learn more about Renee Baribeau at thepracticalshaman.com and The Shamans Cave podcast at theshamanscave.com.

    95. How to thrive in 2024 - Solo episode

    Happy New Year!
Well, the new year is off to an eventful start. The apocalypse (uncovering, disclosure, revelation) will continue in 2024. That means your external world will be chaotic and unstable. And if you focus on it, your internal world also becomes chaotic and unstable.

The most important thing for us to remember as we go through this year is to bring our energy back from the external world into our internal world and raise its frequency.

Now, this takes work. It is a moment by moment practice. And one of the most powerful and potent ways to raise your own frequency that I know is through meditation!

E5 S2 | Movement Teacher Amber Ryan of The 360 Emergence Shares the Shifts That Happen When Practicing Embodied Movement, and How Dance Can Assist with Moving People Away from Numbness and Back into Connection With Their Body

E5 S2 | Movement Teacher Amber Ryan of The 360 Emergence Shares the Shifts That Happen When Practicing Embodied Movement, and How Dance Can Assist with Moving People Away from Numbness and Back into Connection With Their Body

On this episode I speak with movement teacher and mentor Amber Ryan, co-founder of The 360 Emergence, an embodiment, free-form, spirit-driven movement practice.

“And numbing is also one of those vibrations that the movement practice can help assist moving people away from. Because numbing comes in for different reasons, whether it's we're stuffing something down, or I just can't even anymore. I've gone on overload. It's too much. Lots of different reasons for how numbing can come in… And so through the movement practice, we can start to warm that freeze, or we can start to draw and bring people back into the body.” - Amber Ryan

    Takeaways:

    • Energy can become stagnant in the body and movement can shift the energy into flow and vitality
    • Using breathe as a way for people to come into better presence and awareness with themselves
    • How Gabrielle Wroth’s 5 Rhythms ecstatic dance method helped Amber re-pattern into healthier ways in support of her body
    • The powerful changes that can happen from a full, deep breath into the body
    • The shift that can happen when participating in embodied movement: feeling freer, awake, connected to life’s goodness, lighter, additional vitality, greater sense of aliveness, rejuvenated, tension and stress release, surrender and letting go
    • How dance gives space for people to be in the raw, real expression of emotion and allows this energy to move
    • Movement can provide a sense of support and community for those experiencing illness or chronic pain
    • Tears and crying as a healing release that softens us
    • Numbing in the body and how through a movement practice, the body can warm that freeze and draw people back into their body

E4 S2 | Be in the Richness of Life as it Arises Through Your Body: Holly Wodetzki Shares How Her Embodied Dance Methodology Helps Women Come Back to Intense Aliveness in the Body

On this episode I speak with Holly Wodetzki of Sensual Embodied Dance about the richness of life that can arise in the body through dance. Using her signature dance methodology, Holly helps women come back to intense aliveness in their bodies.

    Topics Discussed:

    • Holly’s decision to shift her personal daily practice from yoga to free-form dance
    • Noticing the tightly held places in women’s body become more pronounced when you ask them to move towards pleasure and sexuality in using movement
    • Exploring the erotic and sexuality in the body, and what that means as a pulse of life
    • Using a practice like dance to dissolve boundaries and feel the unity and interconnection with life and nature
    • Sensitizing and becoming intimate with feelings in the body to allow life and emotions to move through you
    • Using dance as an opportunities for women to let go, release, unfold and unravel tension in the body so they can be more open to embodying the full spectrum of life
    • Many women feel disconnected from their lower body and have chronic pelvis tension
    • Embodiment and dissociation, and pendulating in-between these states
    • How music can invoke different emotional states and open their body to new ways of moving

    Quotes:

“But when we have that capacity to let life move through us, then things don't get stuck. We don't get the residue of unexpressed experiences and emotions stuck in our body…” - Holly Wodetzki

“But the question is always, will you dance with this too? And I think for people who are sick and or have loved ones that are sick or going through very difficult things, the question is still, can I dance with this too? Even when it is so painful, would I also dance with this too? but in the biggest sense of, this being part of my story that doesn't define who I am, but this is part of this moment. And can I dance even when it's so hard and I'm in pain?” - Holly Wodetzki

A Solution to Every Unsolvable Problem: Expanded Awareness

A Solution to Every Unsolvable Problem: Expanded Awareness

Ever felt stuck or bogged down by a problem that seems impossible to resolve, no matter what action or attempt to find a solution? What if we told you that every predicament has a resolution waiting to be discovered? We navigate through Deepak Chopra's three phases of awareness, starting with the concept of 'contracted awareness.' We uncover how this state can trigger feelings of being confined in our problems, manifesting as physical and emotional symptoms. This episode encourages us to turn inwards, harness the power of positive thinking, and expand our awareness.

We all carry a set of assumptions that shape our perspectives and expectations, but have you ever stopped to question them? We can achieve a profound shift in our outlook by challenging these norms. Our brains are wired to fill in the gaps when confronted with the unknown, often leading to unhealthy expectations. While this can spark resentment, the wisdom of Buddhist principles provides us with a road map to manage these expectations and diffuse potential conflict.

As we dig deeper, we unravel the spiritual power of feelings and breath, exploring how our belief systems and personal values influence our emotional responses. Challenging someone's core beliefs can provoke anger and defensiveness, as these beliefs are intertwined with their identities. We provide actionable insights on navigating these situations, fostering a more understanding and peaceful dialogue. Finally, we delve into the transformative power of awareness, breath, and love – keys that unlock a higher level of consciousness. So, plug in your headphones and join us on this enlightening journey to self-discovery, spiritual growth, and Solutions!
