Leading with Authenticity (What's so hard about that?!)

Leading with Authenticity (What's so hard about that?!)

Strolling through the corridors of corporate America, I once found myself wearing a mask that didn't quite fit. It was only after peeling back the layers of expected conformity that I discovered the transformative power of authenticity. Join me on a  journey through the heart of genuine leadership, where we examine the delicate balance between professionalism and being your true self. Inspired by Brené Brown's insights on true belonging, our conversation is an invitation to embrace self-acceptance and the courage it takes to present our authentic selves, exploring how this self-honesty can dramatically reduce stress and enhance our effectiveness as leaders.

We delve into the intricacies of how the values instilled in us as children, like my own youthful defiance of authority, shape the principles we carry into adulthood and the way we forge connections. During our discussion, you'll witness the unfiltered version of myself that I bring to my leadership training sessions with Intentionaleaders, aiming to inspire a similar level of candor and transparency. We explore the reciprocal nature of authenticity and its fundamental role in cultivating trust and a genuine sense of belonging in relationships, promising a narrative that challenges and inspires you to consistently present your best and most genuine self in every interaction.

Ep. 07 In Pursuit of Divine Proximity: Nurturing a Vibrant and Intimate Connection with God Pt. 2

Ep. 07 In Pursuit of Divine Proximity: Nurturing a Vibrant and Intimate Connection with God Pt. 2

Hello, lovely listeners! Welcome back to another episode of Unhindered Woman with Cortney Browning. In today's episode, we're diving deeper again into the topic of Divine Proximity. 😇

Starting off by emphasizing the utmost importance of being obedient to God and not downplaying the significance of it. 🙌 Obedience is key, my friends!

I firmly believe that this intimate connection with God is essential to unlocking our true potential. It's not about external factors like titles or accomplishments, but about our relationship with God that reveals our full potential. 🤝

This relationship with God enables us to fulfill the various roles and responsibilities that God is entrusting us with. It is my prayer that you grasp the importance of your own relationship with God and avoid being rejected by Jesus. 🚫 Nobody wants that, right?

To have a strong relationship with God, I mention two key criteria.  📖🙏 These two things are the foundation of a vibrant walk with our Heavenly Father.

It's worth acknowledging that some Christians may be involved in religious activities but lack a deep relationship with God. 🙏 It's not just about going through the motions, but about truly surrendering our lives to Him.

Ultimately, it is vital that we have a deep relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It's not about being perfect, but about having a genuine connection with our Savior. ❤️

I highlight the significance of hearing and following Jesus' teachings, urging you to read the verses surrounding Matthew 7:23 for context and clarity. 📚🤔 Dive deeper into His Word to understand His heart!

We want to hear God say, "I knew you," rather than "I didn't know you." That deep connection is what truly matters. Remember, God uses people to extend His love and support. So, don't hesitate to seek help and be honest with God. 🙏❤️

Thank you for joining me on this episode. Stay tuned for more content! 🎧🌸

Remember, this episode is not a replacement for professional counseling or legal advice, but a honest exploration of the amazingness of walking alongside God.  If you enjoy this episode, don't forget to leave a quick review for the podcast!

"No Lonely Hearts" Discuss Authenticity And Branding While Touring Nationwide

Jonmichael and Michael McGovern, hosts of the Be Organic podcast, are excited to have No Lonely Hearts back in the studio. They have four shows under their belt, two in Ohio and two in Orlando. They are excited to continue the tour with their next stop being New York Fashion week. They haven't been told where they will be performing yet, but they are looking forward to the surprise. They are also enjoying the warm weather in Orlando, which allows their vocals to stay in great shape.

NLH talk about their upcoming release of a single called Special Treatment. They discuss how they have to make sure that nobody finds out about it before they can release it. They then talk about the tour they are currently on and the recording of the new song. They also talk about recording a music video and how they turned one of the rooms in their house into a house party themed video. They joke about why JMG wasn't invited to the house party, and the conversation concludes with both of them laughing.

The conversation is centered around the idea of authenticity and how it is important to be unapologetically true to yourself in all aspects of life, especially when you are in the public eye. They discuss the example of an internet influencer who is well-known but is inauthentic, and how this can be a negative influence on people, especially young people. They emphasize the importance of speaking to the right people, rather than trying to please everyone, as this will allow for a deeper connection and more meaningful conversations. They also mention the role of TikTok and YouTube in allowing for more freedom in expressing one's opinions and beliefs, and how this is in contrast to the more restrictive rules of other platforms. Finally, they emphasize the importance of speaking one's truth, even if it may be uncomfortable, as it is the only way to truly find those who identify with and resonate with you.

Jonmichael, Michael, and the No Lonely Hearts band members discusses the importance of staying true to oneself in a situation where the public sees them as a brand instead of individuals. The members of the band talk about how difficult it can be to remain authentic and true to oneself when one's identity is constantly under scrutiny and pressure to conform. They discuss how they try to remain authentic to their individual personalities, instead of trying to fit into a brand identity. They express the need to stay true to themselves and not try to be someone else, as each member of the band has their own unique personality and persona. Ultimately, the conversation emphasizes the importance of remaining true to oneself in the face of societal pressure and expectations.

    Give it a VOICE!

    Give it a VOICE!
In their 7th episode, Samantha & Maria discuss the topic of grief & how it relates to our overall health (physical, mental & emotional), as well as the profound effects it has on how we show up in our day to day lives. As energy healers, Maria & Sam see a great deal of unresolved grief energies stuck in people's bodies. Maria recently became certified in a powerful modality called The Grief Recovery Method offered through the Grief Recovery Institute, which further expanded her inner & understanding of the process of grief- even though she has an extensive background in hospice nursing & end-of-life care. Spirit has been guiding her to add grief recovery into her personal life, as well as to her coaching services- because this is needed NOW more than ever for the entire human collective. While she's been getting strong intuitive messages about grief for the past 6-months, Samantha was getting strong messages about forgiveness- which synchronistically goes hand in hand with the grieving process. They both offer their perspectives & experiences with these topics & also offer tools on how to help YOU feel more empowered in feeling, acknowledging & sharing your emotions with others. Humanity has been programmed to run from, hide from, numb out to & deny our emotions, yet our Souls incarnated to experience these very energies. When we lie to ourselves about how we're feeling & what we're thinking, we lie to others & create very IN-authentic connections. This eventually leads to DIS-eases within the physical body. Our emotions (whether we deem them to be good or bad), are merely messengers & teachers that want a VOICE. By giving them a voice, they naturally begin to move through & out of us. Grief has many voices- many emotions & many lessons for us. It is described as the conflicting feelings caused by the end of, or change in a familiar pattern of behavior per The Grief Recovery Handbook (John W. James & Russell Friedman). This means that we have experienced grief a MULTITUDE of times throughout our lives- it's not just losing a loved one to death. The human collective will continue to be faced with life-altering experiences as the process of evolution marches on. It is time to have true self-compassion as we navigate these very turbulent times. To stay connected with Sam & Maria please see all of our channels here: https://linktr.ee/Sam.Maria.BranchesLLC. Redefining Professionalism With Pabel Martinez

    Redefining Professionalism With Pabel Martinez

In Episode 111, Pabel Martinez, Founder and CEO of Plurawl, joins Melinda in a discussion on redefining professionalism so people can bring their authentic selves to the workplace. They explore how biases around professionalism move individuals to mask their identities and “code-switch”’ to assimilate into another culture. They look into the difference between uncomfortable and unprofessional and how we can mitigate the impact of biases around professionalism. They also discuss how managers can promote authenticity at work by building trust in teams and leading honest conversations.

    About Pabel Martinez (he/him)

Pabel Martinez is a native New Yorker, storyteller, and former Tech executive.

Throughout his career, Pabel struggled balancing two jobs…Tech Employee and Actor. As an Actor, he would focus on assimilation because he was trained to believe that many parts of his identity were unprofessional.

Pabel would dedicate days out of the week to study “white popular American culture” and memorize scripts he would later use for work conversations. He knew that talking about Bad Bunny and shows like Insecure, would not make him relatable. Instead, he would binge-watch seasons of Riverdale since it would help him build relationships with colleagues and senior leaders.

The assimilation became overwhelming, and it was at the expense of his identity & mental health.

As a result, Pabel's mission in life became redefining professionalism by empowering authenticity. In 2020, he launched Plurawl to bring this mission to life.
