    Intent to Harm

    Intent to Harm

At age 18, it was the first summer Paul took a summer job that was different from the others. This job quickly became awkward, demoralizing, nightmarish and yet, somehow funny to him. It was as if Paul was participating in a Hitchcock film with a guy named Anthony. Paul’s sense of humor and lack of life’s experiences collide as he is trapped in a fight or flight situation.  Getting a summer job was necessary for Paul. But what was NOT necessary …Working with a man with an intent to harm. This nonfiction episode is a nod to the suspense filled episodes of classic radio of the 1940s and 1950s.

Extremism is poison. It’s the one thing that divides us all. When people start taking an all-or-nothing approach to just about everything, we end up with nothing. Also in this episode: The trial of Barry the Police Dog, Jack Morris and his lame attempt at impersonating Elmer Fudd, Modern Love on Amazon Prime, how a 7 year old’s white lie caused her parents divorce, childbirth and tales from the photofinishing business, why news is always bad, and my adventures in writing.

Quiz: Hardworking, Playful, or Good Sense of Humor?

Quiz: Hardworking, Playful, or Good Sense of Humor?

This week's episode of Your Weekly Dose of Higher Consciousness Quiz takes a look at:

    ·      Hardworking,

    ·         Playful, and

    ·         A Good Sense of Humor

    Which is of highest consciousness?

Each week we intend to help you put into context where higher levels of truth and power exist based on consciousness calibrations.

Just because one thing is of higher consciousness than another does not make it "BETTER."  All levels of consciousness above 200 are positive aspect-oriented, constructive, and uplifting to all humankind's consciousness.

Levels of consciousness above 600 are spiritually enlightened levels of consciousness and not easily understood by most humans as we are not there yet.

So, enjoy Your Weekly Dose of Higher Consciousness Quiz and embrace the consciousness levels that draw you to your evolution of consciousness.

Crafting Laughter: A Conversation with Comedian Melvin Penn

Welcome to "The Truth In This Art." I'm your host, Rob Lee. In today's episode, we have a captivating conversation with Comedian and podcaster Melvin Penn. He talks about life, humor, and getting through the ups and downs of being an entertainer.  After dropping out of college, Melvin decided to build a career around making people laugh. Now, Melvin spends his time traveling, performing with his comedy group, and drinking water on a competitive level. Melvin’s story is a prime example of how life can be strange, but as long as you have a dream and a sense of humor, you’ll never be bored. Later, Rob and Melvin discuss the art of crafting comedy, feeling comfortable outside of your element, and the most awkward performances of their careers.

    In this episode, we:

    • Just had an eye-opening conversation with comedian Melvin Penn about the dos and don'ts of comedy.
    • Learned some valuable lessons about comedy and what topics to avoid from my recent interview with comedian Melvin Penn.
