    Across the Flats

    Across the Flats

The Thieves Guild is a full cast audiobook podcast of the epic fantasy series written by Nebula Award nominee Jake Kerr. With chapters released every Monday and Friday, the podcast provides a pulp-era serial experience with short episodes released regularly.

    The Thieves Guild Doesn't Exist!

Or so the population of the isolated city-state of Ness believe. As far as everyone knows, the Thieves Guild is a symbolic thing meant to represent the hidden and vile citizens of the city that steal from those who work hard for what they own. It isn't actually real. And the Guildmaster of the Thieves Guild? Well, their only real duty is being pelted by garbage in the Founder's Day parade every year.

Irresponsible Ralan Miller figures he is untouchable as he creates mischief across the city. After all, he is guildless and thus beyond the reach of the authority of all the guildmasters. That is until his brother, the powerful guildmaster of the Merchant Guild, loses patience with him, and names him the Thieves Guild guildmaster shortly before Founders Day. Facing a future of angry citizens throwing rotten fruit and garbage at him during the Founders Day parade, Ralan soon discovers that the Thieves Guild isn't so symbolic after all and may be the only hope in saving the city from a simmering civil war.

The Thieves Guild is a sprawling epic saga that starts with Ralan, the mischievous brother to the guildmaster of the Merchant Guild, thrust into an unexpected central role in navigating geographical conflict, secret societies, mysterious cities, and heroic feats.

The Thieves Guild ebook or paperback is available at all major bookstores via this link.

Howard, Conan roams the ancient and treacherous Hyborian Age, a fictional prehistoric era. Psycho Bob Says Read Kradak the Champion

Psycho Bob Says Read Kradak the Champion

Join Bobber and Shaner as they discuss Shawn Inmon's book, Kradak the Champion.

Kradak the Champion's first appearance is standing atop a mound of bodies; some of which are not quite dead. In his arm is a chubby child he's rescued, who is destined to become a leader. Kardak is not just a hero. He's a warrior.

This image is captured in a film that, in the real world, features Steve, an actor who plays Kradak in a series of B-films. Unfortunately, the film attracts the wrong kind of viewer when Rista and Grint come through a portal from Arkana, view the film portrait of this hero's exploits, and decide that Steve is just the person to save their world. It isn't until they kidnap him and bring him to Arkana, the portal closed behind them, that they discover that Steve is anything but a hero.

Episode 205: Our least favorite movies of 2022

Episode 205: Our least favorite movies of 2022

Even as viewing habits have changed, a great movie poster will always stand out. The latest poster for Scream VI is creative and fun while also looking like very little effort was put into it. We also talk about any hidden meanings in the poster. This past week also saw the death of exploitation legend Ruggero Deodato. Best known for the infamous Cannibal Holocaust, he mark on genre cinema will last forever.

Before we discuss our least favorite movies of the year, a bit of a disclaimer. We love indie cinema and think people should make an effort to watch more. It is easier now than ever before to take a chance on a filmmaker you have never heard of. That being said, even when people put their best foot forward, it does not mean they will always avoid stepping in crap.

Our least favorite films of the year are from around the world. Horror, science fiction, and even a documentary make the list. We talk about awful protagonists and movies that can ruin an entire weekend. There are movies that are visually impressive and stores that are tone deaf. We even talk about a pair of horror icons.

All this, plus Genre of the Future. This week it is all about hatchet wielding hitchhikers, lot lizards, and dancing robots.
