The Power of Music with John Chester

The Power of Music with John Chester

In this episode, I'm back with Season 1 guest John Chester, and again we talk about the power of music and having a positive playlist. Ever wish you could somehow use all that music knowledge you’ve got in your head to somehow help the issues within your head? John believes this is a real possibility. The power of music is well known to those of us who love it and know of its quality to adapt our emotions for good or harm.

Listening to music for entertainment is normal, listening for motivation is productive, listening to enable a bad habit like fear and inactivity is harmful.

Most people don’t know all that music they’ve been listening to over the years is now a type of companion that travels with them to work, home, or vacations. It influences their choices, their hopes, their goals and the people in their social circle.

Check John out using any of the methods listed below.

They discuss five big aspects of this integration work: being aware that we've just gotten activated, self-regulating, understanding which wounded parts of us have been triggered and caring for them while taking responsibility for how our protective responses might create disconnection or harm in our relationships, accessing compassion, and setting boundaries. 46: Breaking the Cycle of Trauma - Interview with DWayanna Gore

46: Breaking the Cycle of Trauma - Interview with DWayanna Gore

It was an honor to interview DWayanna and help her share her story of trauma and God's beautiful redemption.

Dee's story is one of breaking generational curses and healing from trauma.

She encountered God through fasting and praying, enabling her to heal from her experiences. By establishing a deeper relationship with God, she was able to share her story of being raped with supportive friends.

Ultimately, her friend validated her experience with a message of God’s assurance and love. This inspired Dee to want to use her own experiences to help others understand that there is a life of blessings on the other side of the traumas they have endured.

Dee believes "skin to skin" time with God can break generational curses and help cultivate a greater sense of safety and connection with our Creator. Through this, Dee believes we can create a safe and supportive environment to transform our society for generations to come.

Megan Brown - Finding God After Losing Religion

Megan Brown - Finding God After Losing Religion

After being hurt and disaffected by her church experience, with thoughts of suicide, how did former Christian Worship Leader Megan Brown, rediscover her value to God and redefine her purpose? All Heart with Paul Cardall speaks to the 24 year old independent singer/songwriter from Hendersonville, Tennessee about her church experience and the music she’s recorded that’s giving voice to people like Megan who’ve been hurt. They talk about the challenge some Christians have of not understanding how to separate a healthy and productive relationship with God from a relationship with a Church of imperfect humans whose intentions are not always pure. Megan offers advice for pastors in hopes that the thousands of fans resonating with her songs will be heard and understood in their pain. Listening and understanding the hearts of parishioners over preaching is the most important action Megan believes a Church can do to prevent guilt, shame, anxiety, depression, and suicide.

Megan Brown's thought-provoking songs like “If I’m Honest” and “Open Up Your Mind” authentically tackle self-doubt, anxiety, depression and suicide among Christians. Her experiences and gift of music is shaping her purpose, which is to explore songs filled with authenticity and honesty, acknowledging our insecurities, doubt, pain, struggles and scars while endlessly pursuing a relationship with a God who knows our hearts, a God who bleeds, a God who weeps, the God whose own suffering and scars remind us that we are not alone... Psychiatrist and a Pioneer in near-death studies, Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, wrote, “The ultimate lesson all of us have to learn is unconditional love, which includes not only others, but ourselves as well.”

Megan says, “I make music for people who have been hurt by people in church and have almost left the faith because of it.”

How to Use Energy Healing To Attract Health, Wealth, and Happiness with Lia Mehmetoglu

How to Use Energy Healing To Attract Health, Wealth, and Happiness with Lia Mehmetoglu

“When we are actually healthy energetically in our body, everything else falls into place because everything starts there.”- Lia Mehmetoglu

    Sounds simple? Not quite.

For many of us, achieving healthy energy is almost like doing a factory reset wherein the bare essentials of our being - body and spirit - get lifted off of the excess baggage that weighs them down so they can see each other and reconnect in alignment.

This baggage could be anything between generational trauma, trapped emotions, and limiting beliefs. Add to those, the thoughts, ideas, and emotions from social media that we pick up throughout our day. Altogether, these blockages hurt our energy and, consequently, our vibrational frequency. It hinders us from attracting breakthroughs in health, wealth, and relationships that we want in our life.  That’s why we need to release them.

In this episode, learn how we can get to the root of and clear these energy blocks. Lia Mehmetoglu speaks about her energy healing method combined with her born psychic gifts.

You are in for a treat!

These are some highlights you shouldn’t miss:

02:46 - Energy as the root of healing
05:20 - The connection between healing (trauma) and manifestation
07:10 - How to raise the vibrational frequency and magnetize positive experiences
08:02 - Lia reveals the telepathic gift she uses to heal people from trauma
12:54 -  Generational trauma is the most common cause of trapped emotions
    14:20 - Releasing trapped energies
14:54 - How generational trauma impacts wealth manifestation
    20:41 - Healing and relationships
22:49 - What is alignment and how to achieve it

Healing Trauma (Part 5): Tuning Into Our Body through Somatic Practices

Healing Trauma (Part 5): Tuning Into Our Body through Somatic Practices

In this eposide, Janice explains why is the body so important in healing trauma. She also shares some body-based (somatic) practices that can help us build a foundation for addressing trauma and coming back to our "whole selves" by:

    • expanding our capacity to be aware of and stay with our body's internal physical sensations and emotions – however uncomfortable;
    • reducing hypervigilance;
    • staying curious and open to our environment and the people around us; and
    • noticing more easily when we move out of alignment with our grounded, authentic selves.

Over time, we can build the capacity to handle more of the emotional charge when diving deeper into healing trauma, walk away from harmful situations earlier, be more present in the moment, and feel more alive in our bodies.

Life Is Short, But What If We Need to Slow Down?

Life Is Short, But What If We Need to Slow Down?

"Life is short, so live it to the fullest." This well-known mantra can push us to want to do things bigger, better, and more of. But what if "living to the fullest" feels more like undue pressure than inspiration? What if going slow and being cautious is sometimes actually the most authentic decision for you to make?

Janice gives personal examples, ranging from travel dreams to new relationships, of where the "Life is short" mantra can show up. She discusses how a lack of privilege or challenging life periods, balancing two authentic but conflicting needs, and being stuck in old patterns can bring a lot more nuance and complexity to our life decisions than simply following a sometimes inspirational but one-size-fits-all quote.
