    191 - Violent Night (2022) Review

    191 - Violent Night (2022) Review

After a wealthy estate is being raided by mercenaries for a fortune secured in a vault, Santa must save the family and Christmas.

Violent Night may not be considered a horror movie, but it's a dark, bloody, action movie that has some crazy kills and is a fun ride. There's something great about seeing a badass Santa beating the heck out of mercenaries in an effort to save Christmas. David Harbour stars in Violent Night and does a great job in bringing a disgruntled yet somewhat hopeful Santa Claus to life as he kills criminals to grant a young girl her Christmas wish.

    Midweek Mention... Violent Night

    Midweek Mention... Violent Night

Welcome back to another episode of Bad Dads Film Review! Today, we're donning our Santa hats and diving into the action-packed, darkly comedic world of Violent Night.

Violent Night takes the classic holiday movie and flips it on its head. Think less 'Miracle on 34th Street' and more 'Die Hard' meets 'Bad Santa.' This isn't your typical feel-good Christmas film; it's a wild ride that blends festive cheer with high-octane action.

The story unfolds on Christmas Eve, as a group of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family's home. But little do they know, this house is under the watchful eye of a very different kind of Santa Claus. This Santa is more about fighting than gifting, and he's not afraid to get his hands dirty to save the holiday.

This film reinvents Saint Nick, turning him into an action hero with a heart of gold and fists of steel. It's a refreshing take on the jolly old elf, delivering thrills, spills, and a fair share of laughs.

Violent Night is a decent blend of genres, appealing to those who love a good action flick, as well as fans of unconventional Christmas movies. It's filled with witty one-liners, intense fight scenes, and a unique story that keeps you guessing. The film manages to be both a parody of and a love letter to the holiday season.

So, grab some eggnog, kick back, and join us for a deep dive into the merry mayhem of Violent Night. It's a holiday film with a twist, perfect for Dads looking for a little more action with their tinsel. 🎅🎄🥊🎬👨‍👧‍👦

We put Violent Night on trial. Does Santa light them up like a Christmas tree or will we have stars in our eyes? Gav and Dave say this is a great mix of action and comedy that has them already excited for a sequel. Joel and Alex argue out that disappointing action scenes and unnecessary gore make this a festive turkey. All this with an impression of jolly old St Nick and a quiz all about bloodthirsty Santas in film. www.filmsontrial.co.uk/227

    Episode 139: Violent Night

    Episode 139: Violent Night

Greetings and salutations on this NINTH season of Christmas Creeps! On our inaugural episode of 2023, we take a trip to our local Redbox to catch up with VIOLENT NIGHT!

What if the hero in a hard-R Die Hard riff were San/ta Claus? And not just any Santa Claus. This Santa Claus is played by Stranger Things' David Harbour! That's the gimmick at the heart of 2022's hit holiday action flick. We were dubious of this one, but each of us found ourselves won over by the sheer absurdity of it all. It's hard to go wrong with bad guys getting their just desserts.

Also in this episode: Joe eats gross gummies on purpose, Twitter continues to burn itself out, and the guys try to convince themselves they're not mellowing out.

    iKnowBadeaux Podcast Episode 217

Episode 217: Bagel is Back.  This week we talk about a scientific study that found that there may in fact be a correlation between if a man thinks his junk is too small and his desire to own fast cars.  We also follow up on the John Stamos Beach Boys situation, as well as look further into the story of the woman that fell 33,000 feet and survived.  Lastly, we do a deep investigative dive into the claim that the Chex Mix Bagel Chip is in fact back.  Where did it go?  How long was it gone? Why now has it returned?  Most importantly, what does Sir Mixalot think about it?
