If You Want THIS, it’s Never Too Late…

    enMarch 13, 2017

    Podcast Summary

    • Overlooking unique advantages by focusing on insecuritiesRecognize and appreciate unique strengths and wisdom, rather than dwelling on perceived weaknesses.

Focusing too much on perceived weaknesses or lacks in our lives can hinder us from recognizing and appreciating our unique advantages. In the conversation discussed, a friend felt insecure about her lack of formal education and intellectual knowledge. However, she was also incredibly streetwise, emotionally strong, and had gone through significant life experiences. By focusing solely on her insecurity, she was overlooking her unique advantages. It's important to remember that everyone's experiences and learning paths are different, and each one brings unique strengths and wisdom. Instead of dwelling on what we don't have, we should focus on what makes us unique and valuable. This not only boosts our self-confidence but also allows us to make meaningful connections with others. So, embrace your unique advantages and let them shine!

    • Believe in the power of growthIt's never too late to believe in your ability to grow and improve, no matter your past experiences or current skills.

No matter what advantages or disadvantages we had in our upbringing, it's never too late to acquire new skills and improve ourselves. George Elliott's quote, "It's never too late to be what you might have been," encourages us to embrace a growth mindset, believing that we can always grow and improve. It's essential to recognize that our abilities are not fixed, and we can develop new strengths even if we've never tried before. Psychologists define two mindsets: fixed and growth. Those with a fixed mindset believe their abilities are set, while those with a growth mindset believe they can improve. Surprising others with hidden strengths is a sign of a growth mindset and a life well-lived. So, avoid labeling yourself and instead focus on the belief that you can always grow and change.

    • Five compliments to attract a manSpecific, genuine compliments can make a man feel good and build a strong foundation for a healthy relationship

While we may not be able to excel at everything, we can focus on growth and changing our perceptions in areas we previously thought were beyond our reach. This doesn't mean striving for impossible feats, but rather recognizing our potential for improvement. Now, onto the practical side of things. I promised you five compliments that can help attract a man, and I'm keeping my word. You can download a free guide with these compliments at lovelifepodcast.comforward/compliments. Remember, these are not empty words or meaningless flattery. These are specific, genuine compliments that can make a real difference in how a man sees you. By focusing on these areas, you'll not only make him feel good, but you'll also be building a strong foundation for a healthy, loving relationship. So go ahead, download the guide, and start using these compliments today.

(Rewind): Don’t Avoid Difficult Conversations In Relationships. Do THIS…

(Rewind): Don’t Avoid Difficult Conversations In Relationships. Do THIS…
Sometimes we avoid speaking up about what we really want with a person because we're afraid we will "make waves" in the relationship.

We come from a place of fear and anxiety. "What if me telling him I want something to be different makes him walk away altogether?" we think to ourselves.

So we ignore the conversation and silently suffer.

But then nothing gets better. We just put off the conversation for another day while time keeps moving on.
If this is you, this episode is for you.
