You Can't Do It Alone, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO DO IT ALONE... DO THE WORK - Day 250

    enApril 05, 2017

    Podcast Summary

    • Believe in yourself, even when aloneSelf-belief and self-reliance are crucial for success. Elevate yourself during tough times and be your biggest fan through self-talk.

While having support is crucial, it's equally important to be self-reliant and believe in oneself. As the speaker emphasized, "You have to be prepared to do this alone." This doesn't negate the importance of having others in our lives to support us, but rather highlights the need for personal strength and self-belief. The speaker shared his observation that when things get tough, it's essential to elevate ourselves and be our biggest fan. Self-talk can help us prop ourselves up and stay afloat during challenging times. Ultimately, if we can't believe in ourselves, it will be difficult for others to believe in us or our cause. So, in summary, while we need support from others, our biggest ally and fan should be ourselves.

    • Believe in yourself and your workSelf-doubt can hinder success, believe in yourself and the work you do, surround yourself with support, and be strong during good and bad times.

Self-doubt can be a major obstacle in any endeavor, be it surviving alone on an island or starting a business. It's important to be your own biggest cheerleader and believe in what you're doing. Don't let seeds of doubt take root and grow, as they can lead to your downfall. Find work that you love and believe in, and surround yourself with support from others. Ultimately, you must be strong enough to withstand the good and bad times on your own, or no one else can truly prop you up. Remember, believe in yourself and the work you do, and others will be more likely to do the same.

What Did You Do About It?

Next time you want to blame someone else for being ____ ask yourself - what did I do about it?  We are quick to blame others when we could have done more or done things differently.  It's often partially our own fault, more than we would like to admit. Admit it and be better.

    Self-Talk

    Self-Talk

What is self-talk? Well, essentially, it’s talking to yourself, more specifically, the way in which you talk to yourself. Most times, it isn't positive and when we do engage in negative self-talk, we soon start to believe it for real and even worse, start acting on it.

In this podcast episode we discuss three ways to help you avoid negative self-talk.

After listening, feel free to send me a note letting me know how you plan to eliminate the self-talk in your life, so you can pursue the dreams and goals you have for yourself.
