2017 - "I Don't Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker)" by Zayn and Taylor Swift

In the wake of the election of Donald J. Trump, America decided to make things a little darker. Fifty shades darker, to be exact. And who are you gonna call when you need a song that expresses horniness on levels never conceived of by modern man??? Taylor Swift, we guess. And a man named Zayn. Also, Andrew and Dan who host this podcast. They are there too.

2023 - The Very Oscars Special

We hope you have your popcorn and 3D glasses ready because it's finally time for Andrew and Dan to once again recap an Oscars ceremony that just happened moments ago. Who won the awards? What were the belabored bits? Which of our favorite celebrities hit another favorite celebrity? And most importantly of all, which host of this podcast got the most predictions right?

1943 - "I've Heard That Song Before" by Harry James and his Orchestra feat. Helen Forrest

1943 - "I've Heard That Song Before" by Harry James and his Orchestra feat. Helen Forrest

Oscar freaks, this one's for you. Fans of 1940s Big Band music, we're very sorry. In this episode, Andrew and Dan spend an hour discussing their predictions for every category being presented at this weekend's Academy Awards. And then they spend a solid 20 minutes learning some genuinely interesting music history about this song from the long-forgotten Harry James. This is what the podcast is! Don't act like you don't like this!

2000 - "I Knew I Loved You" by Savage Garden

2000 - "I Knew I Loved You" by Savage Garden

In their first(!) journey to the year 2000, Andrew and Dan encounter a musical landscape that has all of the bad stuff from the 90s (spiked hair) but none of the scary stuff from the 2000s (war on terror). It's a strange world, where only the most savage of gardens can climb to the top of the charts with a song so commercial viable it sounds like it was written by AI.

1944 - "My Heart Tells Me (Should I Believe My Heart?)" by Glen Gray and the Casa Loma Orchestra feat. Eugenie Baird

1944 - "My Heart Tells Me (Should I Believe My Heart?)" by Glen Gray and the Casa Loma Orchestra feat. Eugenie Baird

This week's episode might hold the record for longest title, but we'd expect nothing less from the 1940s, an era when every man had an orchestra and every orchestra had a random lady singer. Andrew and Dan are about to learn at least 2 facts about this Glen Gray hit, but not until they meticulously comb through this year's Oscar nominations. Because that's what this show is in a nutshell!

1973 - "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder

1973 - "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder

Our old friend Stevland returns to the show to share with us his very spooky superstitions (black cats, broken mirrors, etc), as Andrew and Dan revisit a year they can't seem to leave behind, 1973. Eagle eared listeners might be able to tell this episode was recorded a few days early, specifically during the part where Andrew and Dan make asses of themselves talking about the Oscar noms like they haven't already been released.

    2016 - "Hello" by Adele

    2016 - "Hello" by Adele

Once again, the wickedly talented Adele (Dazeem) returns to the show with a big ol' stankin hit that absolutely destroyed the charts and forced Billboard to rebuild from nothing. Unfortunately, to hear this song Andrew and Dan must travel to a famously very bad year that actually was the reason for all the bad things have ever happened on earth. But this is what we do in order to say...Hello!
