Les missions des forces aériennes de gendarmerie ont connu une évolution à la suite des émeutes urbaines de 2005 et à l'identification d'un besoin renforcé de surveillance en temps réel pour suivre les manifestations, qui a mené à l'intégration d'un nouveau type d'hélicoptère, l'EC135, pour ces missions de surveillance voire de filature. Aujourd'hui, les forces aériennes se préparent à développer leurs capacités avec le H160. Mais la réflexion autour de l'intégration de nouveaux moyens se poursuit et est actuellement particulièrement forte autour des drones.

Le général Josse revient également sur les besoins en recrutement, qui concernent aussi bien les pilotes que les mécaniciens, les profils recherchés et les méthodes.

Siegfried Brauner is with Airbus Helicopters where he's the head of approval and certification. Additionally, Brauner is the IAQG lead for the defence team.

 
André  Lacroix is in charge of quality performance norms and standards for ArianeGroup. He is also the oversight manager for the EAQG oversight team and the lead for the space forum. 

The IAQG is the International Aerospace Quality Group and sets the standard for quality within the worldwide supply chain within the aviation, space, and defense industry. La seconde partie de cet entretien avec Bruno Even est largement consacrée aux problématiques liées au secteur de la mobilité urbaine, qu'Airbus Helicopters considère comme un très beau sujet pour ses équipes.

À partir de ses premiers démonstrateurs, la société en a développé un nouveau, CityAirbus NextGen, qui doit réaliser son premier vol à la fin de l'année prochaine. Si Airbus Helicopters croit en l'avenir de ce type de marché, il se montre très prudent sur le rythme de son évolution initiale en raison du nombre de défis à relever.

En effet, au défi technologique s'ajoutent ceux de la création de tout l'écosystème dans lequel les taxis volants devraient évoluer (spécifications, certification, clients, infrastructures en milieu urbain) et de l'acceptabilité pour la société.

Bruno Even revient également sur le parti pris de se reposer sur une motorisation électrique pour ces véhicules, imposé par les problématiques environnementales (émissions et bruit) mais qui limite le rayon d'action.

Après plusieurs années de baisse sur le marché des hélicoptères, Airbus Helicopters a plutôt bien traversé la crise sanitaire et enregistré une année solide en termes financiers et de prises de commandes, avec une performance solide sur ses deux marchés, civil et militaire.

Selon Bruno Even, la reprise devrait se confirmer en 2022, d'autant que les services, l'un des axes de développement de l'hélicoptériste, se portent bien.

Le président d'Airbus Helicopters évoque également les avancées sur les programmes majeurs de l'industriel : H160, modernisation du Tigre et Super Puma.
