    14 EFT Tapping: going commando, white lies and manifesting with the lions gate portal


    In this episode Chloe shares her experience with Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) tapping (27:21). EFT tapping involves tapping on specific acupressure points while focusing on an issue you want to resolve. It works by sending a calming signal to the amygdala, the part of the brain that controls the fight or flight response. This helps calm the nervous system and reprogram limiting beliefs or negative emotions.

    The setup statement in EFT tapping is said while tapping on the side of the hand. It goes:"Even though I have this [insert problem], I choose to love and accept myself anyway."  You repeat this setup statement 3 times while tapping on the side of your hand.

    13 Energy Healer: Barbie, sorry not sorry and naming feelings -  all under the Full Moon

    In this episode Chloe shares her experiences with an energy healing (27:00).  What is an energy healer I hear you ask, listen on to find out. Chloe explains that her energy coach helps her identify and name her feelings, teaches her grounding techniques to regulate her nervous system, and uses exercises like magic boxing and cord cutting to release limiting beliefs and negative energy. 

    Chloe & Steph also discuss the Barbie movie (0:54)  and touch on if life in plastic really is fantastic. Steph talks about living in a man’s world and how Male data points are used in many things that impact our lives - such as the air conditioning temperature in offices. 

    They circle back to the conversation they had (E11: Face mapping) about the menstrual cycle and talk about how we can harness our cycle when training (6:39).  Steph starts a discussion about avoiding filler words like "just" and "sorry" (14:00) and how we can reframe things.  We then pull a lovely card for the week (22:30) and discuss the full moon in  Aquarius and other astrological happenings.

    Networking Confidence: Overcoming Social Anxiety and Imposter Syndrome

    Today’s episode is all about how to overcome social anxiety and imposter syndrome when you are networking. I know I’m not the only one that goes to an event but then finds a corner and stays there the whole time I don’t have to speak to anyone! I challenged myself to not do that anymore and I share the things that helped me along the way.

    Highlights on social anxiety:

    1. Preparation: Familiarize yourself with the event, attendees, or topics of conversation beforehand. This can give you a sense of control and reduce anxiety.
    2. Visualization: Visualize yourself successfully navigating the event. This can help build confidence and reduce feelings of anxiety.
    3. Mindfulness exercises: Techniques like deep breathing or meditation can help you stay present and focused, reducing feelings of anxiety.
    4. Grounding techniques: Find a way to feel connected to the here and now. This might be focusing on the feel of your feet on the ground, or the taste of the drink in your hand.

    Highlights on Imposter syndrome:

    1. Focus on Skills and Achievements: Remind yourself of your skills, qualifications, and past achievements. They validate that you're competent and deserving. “I belong here”
    2. Reframe Failure: Instead of viewing failure as a reflection of your abilities, view it as an opportunity for learning and growth.
    3. Mentorship: Hearing that others have been in your shoes can normalize your feelings.
    4. Positive Affirmations: Practice positive self-talk and affirmations. Replacing negative thoughts with positive ones can boost your self-esteem and reduce feelings of being a fraud.

    Remember, confidence comes with practice. So, start small and give yourself credit for every step you take. We're all learning and growing, and every challenge we face is a chance for us to shine even brighter.

This grounding technique helps with these feelings by detaching you from the anxious thoughts and refocusing you onto the present moment by narrowing-in on each sense, one at a time.

    The “Be still”  meditation is helpful for slowing down and recentering your thoughts. During this meditation, you will recite the first part of Psalm 46:10. After you recite it, take a deep breath. Then shorten it by one phrase and take another deep breath. Meditate on the words as I lead you through this exercise.

    5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique

    The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique is designed to reengage your prefrontal cortex by drawing attention to your surroundings. I’ll walk you through the exercise and provide prompts to help you remember the order when you do this on your own. These are the prompts my daughter uses. In addition to providing a reminder of what to do, it also adds tactile stimulation for kinesthetic learners and additional grounding.

    Square breathing is an exercise where you breathe in and out evenly. It is also a great exercise to include tactile stimulation for an additional grounding effect by drawing a box on your leg, arm, or palm as you breathe in and out. Let’s practice together.
